Still, I understand why things are the way they are. They saved money by using the VA panel, which allowed them to increase the monitor’s gaming qualities and keep the monitor within a pre-determined price range. Of course, if you only use one of those displays, the difference during use will be minimal, but if you compare both, the motion blur of the HP x27c during the use of MPRT will be much more visible. To top it off, this display wouldn’t be complete without a solid tearing-reduction function, which the AMD FreeSync Premium provided. The premium version of FreeSync has a wider operating range, which means you’ll get even better results with tear-free visuals and better smoothness. The HP Omen X 27 1440p 240Hz gaming monitor has a fairly slim but sturdy design with ultra-thin bezels. It has a rather aggressive matte anti-glare screen coating, which some users may find too grainy, but it’s tolerable. As we’ve said in earlier posts, the best screen size for this resolution is a 24-inch minimum; anything larger than that stretches the pixels a little, resulting in blurrier pictures.

x 480; 720 x 400; 800 x 600; 1024 x 768; 1280 x 720; 1280 x 800; 1280 x 1024; 1440 x 900; 1600 x 900; 1680 x 1050; 1920 x 1080 Play longer, comfier, and with amazing accuracy on our suite of sweet gaming monitors. We've redefined high definition gaming with IPS Panel Technology, 165Hz, 1ms response time[1], AMD[2] FreeSync™ Premium[3], and more colors than ever before. Game in comfort Power consumption is low, this is a non issue for the display as it appears to use an efficient panel that holds up well compared to other models. Power prices are rising, but 23W of usage at 200 nits is very acceptable by today's standards. However, don’t expect the IPS or VA levels of color and contrast quality due to the monitor’s specified wide color gamut, HDR support, and local dimming features.I’m not sure whether it has anything to do with the fact that I was previously using a monitor with a higher PPI, but one thing is certain: a 27-inch display with a 1080p resolution isn’t a fantastic combo. The HP X27 high peak brightness also aids the IPS in maintaining accurate colors. However, the higher this ratio is set, the more you’ll notice IPS shining, especially in a dark room, so keep that in mind.

There are four response time overdrive modes: Normal, Fast, Faster, Fastest. We recommend using either ‘Fast’ or ‘Faster,’ as ‘Fastest’ introduces a lot of pixel overshoot. Rec. 2020 coverage is only 67%, which is only 5 percentage points better than sRGB-only displays like the PX277 Prime, and behind other monitors that target DCI-P3. I guess this is why HP didn't advertise a wide color gamut, it straddles the middle between standard and wide. Default Color Performance Meanwhile at 60Hz, we have to drop down the overdrive setting and as there's no option between Level 2 and Level 1, we basically have to disable overdrive. This hurts performance and doesn't make the X27q a very suitable low refresh rate monitor. If you're mostly playing around 60 FPS I'd recommend you get the M27Q instead, or even the S2721DGF depending on your budget. HP X27 - Monitor Gaming de 27” Full HD (1920 x 1080 a 165Hz, IPS, 1ms, HDMI, AMD Freesync Premium, OMEN Gaming Hub, Eye Ease, Antirreflejo, Altura e Inclinación Ajustables) Negro Immerse yourself in even more colors and catch all the action with ultra-wide viewing angles of an IPS display in Full HD (1920 x 1080)[4]. Smooth Moves

In any case, even if you simply need the monitor to play, I don’t advocate VA panels at all. If you’re that competitive, I recommend looking for an inexpensive Fast IPS monitor that provides all of the benefits of an IPS screen while having better or similar response times as VA monitors. Compared to other monitors all using their highest refresh rate and optimized overdrive settings, the HP X27q performs quite well. The monitor is able to deliver a similar experience to products like the Dell S2721DGF, which we've recommended as a budget 1440p monitor in the past. Given its other qualities as well as its affordable costs at the time of writing, the HP X27 monitor will not disappoint anyone who can live with the low PPI of the 27-inch + 1080p combination. Live in the flow of 165 Hz with a super fast 1ms response time[1] and keep your gameplay smooth-as-silk with AMD[2] FreeSync™ Premium[3]. A Display of Responsibility The HP Omen X 27 was the first 1440p 240Hz model available. When it was released, there were no IPS and VA alternatives. Nowadays, you can find an IPS or VA model with just as good performance and better image quality for the same price, thus making the Omen X 27 obsolete. Specifications Screen Size

Tiempo de respuesta de 1 milisegundo con OverDrive; elimina el movimiento borroso para un juego fluido y nítido sin importar lo que suceda en pantalla Fortunately, this monitor has the same above-average quality materials as its 32-inch counterpart. Those do convey a high level of durability, which is noteworthy given the monitor’s low price point. They also opted to utilize an ergonomic stand for this model, as if quality materials weren’t enough for such a “budget” screen. The definition and details on this bad boy are off the Richter. Think peak pixel with 3.7 million combined with a sharp 2560 x 1440 resolution QHD display. 2We do get an extension to the Rec.709/sRGB gamut in the red, yellow and magenta directions, but no extension for greens or cyans. This creates a bit of unbalance for DCI-P3 coverage, we get decent coverage of reds, but poor for greens, and only 91.2% coverage in total. A bit strange, and not very suitable for displaying color accurate wide gamut images. Note that depending on how close you are watching the screen, this may be easier or more difficult to see. If you use your monitor at a high distance, the low PPI is less likely to bother you than if you use it up close. While the colors are good for a TN panel display, they are still a far cry from color vibrancy found on equally-priced IPS or VA gaming monitors.

When we move up to Level 2 overdrive, this is where the monitor is most usable at 165Hz. Performance improves significantly to a 6.13ms grey to grey average, and although overshoot has also increased, it's to a minimal level that you won't notice while gaming. Cumulative deviation is also now around a more acceptable level, with a score of 500 being around the average we like to see for this class of monitor. As we continue to review the displays in this “X” HP lineup, we’re beginning to wonder why it doesn’t get the acclaim it deserves. Useful gaming features include customizable crosshair overlays, an FPS counter, pre-calibrated picture presets (Gaming, Movie, Low Blue Light, etc.), and customizable RGB lighting.
