Due to its small size and portability, it made the perfect travel game. (And thus it was played lots on school trips as I was growing up.) I have very fond memories of playing very competitive games in the common rooms of my school.

In 1977, a game came out called Pass the Pigs where players would roll plastic pigs for points. Well, this latest iteration of the game by Winning Moves Games bumps the game up a level. Or maybe we should say 100 levels. Because these pigs look 100 times larger than the original. But with this newer version, possibilities are endless! Take it to your pool party and play it outside. Or maybe in a mud room or just on the kitchen floor! It is a totally new experience and pure fun! What Age Is The Game Suited For?The goal in Pass the Pigs: Big Pigs is the same as in the original game of Pass the Pigs – be the first player to score 100 points. The familiar game play of Pass the Pigs is still there. But the pigs are huge! But beware, if the pigs land touching each other, it is a serious penalty – the oinker. You lose all your points collected throughout the game. So, be sure to throw the dice with careful strategy! Scoring Points

A lot of games are a little too old for my 4 year old. But when I found out that there was a new variation of one of the favourite games from my youth I was so excited to be able to share it with you. Players score points on their turn by rolling 2 pigs and having them land in certain positions. Once the score is noted, the player can choose to go again or keep their score. If they choose to stop, they keep their score to that point and play continues to the next player. However, so far, our pigs have gone unscathed. Sure they’re getting dirty. But they’re still all intact. Will the foam pigs last forever like the classic plastic pigs? Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland and the Scottish Highlands) may take longer to reach you.

Pass The Pigs Big Pigs (2016) - by Winning Moves Games USA- Each pig measures about 6" and is made of foam rubber. They land in all the same poses as the standard 2 pigs. It includes a larger score pad and a drawstring storage bag. Another good thing about the game is you can roll the pigs anywhere. Unlike the older version (Pass The Pigs), sitting around a table and rolling the mini piggies had become too old-fashioned. But then, in its inimitable fashion, the wonderful sunny days that we had been having turned to rain. And it has only been in the last couple of days that I have been able to get outdoors.

Makin' Bacon (or Oinker) - Both pigs are touching and both are resting on the table - Player's total score from the game is wiped out; play passes to next player. Whilst we will do everything we can to meet the delivery times above, there may be factors outside of our control and we cannot guarantee delivery within this time frame. The game also comes with a score pad, which has the very simple rules printed on the front. As I said before, it is such an easy game to play.

Scoring Points

Imagine now that you are playing with giant inflatable pigs instead of the small pig dice. Does this add more fun? I couldn’t wait to find out. Every successful toss will earn points you can store in your piggy bank. However, if you push the piggies too far, you will ‘pig out.’ Winning is simple – the first player to reach 100 points wins. With the original Pass the Pigs, players go the typical game route and sit around the table where they calmly roll the pigs.
