You've probably never heard of Vincenzo Perugia..." Dylan tells us that he stole the Mona Lisa and it was the perfect crime. "He didn't try to sell it. He didn't steal any other paintings. He didn't want to be famous or rich. He just wanted the Mona Lisa. And that's where he went right. That's why it was the perfect crime. Because he didn't want anything else. And that's where we went wrong. We wanted something." I hope a movie of FRAMED is planned. Harper Collins Authors & Illustrators: Frank Cottrell-Boyce biography". This book was quite similar in feel to Millions. It seemed obvious to me that he is not himself Welsh, by the idiolect that he gave the protaganist (Dylan). He seemed to speak like an English boy! But that was a tiny issue in an otherwise wonderful tale.Frank Cottrell Boyce: I never, ever base characters, consciously, on real people because they would kill me. I just don't want to do that. But after I wrote the book, and when I read it for the first time, I realised that I've got a son who would have been about nine when I was writing the book and he had three brothers, but one was a baby and two were much older than he was, so he was surrounded by sisters, so he never had anyone to play football with or to talk in a manly way with, so the character of Dylan, who is the only boy in school, that's sort of my son, but I didn't do it on purpose, it just popped into my head. Framed, set in North Wales, is the story of how paintings moved from the National Gallery in London affect the town of Manod.

Frank Cottrell Boyce: The idea for the book 'Framed' came from two places really. One is: I was always interested in art robbery and I was on holiday in Scotland, when there was a very, very famous art robbery just by where I was staying. Specific National Gallery paintings are woven through the narrative, which centres on 10-year-old Dylan and his family, who live above the village's garage. Alfie has one hand; Eric has one leg. Can a small boy and a giant, police car-crushing robot ever be friends? And do bad things in your past have to destroy your future? Hilarious, complex and hugely satisfying. Teacher of English Trading As Online Teaching Resources Limited. Registered Office: Online Teaching Framed is an interesting book, but it is not without flaws. The novel is written in a Diary format, and the main character, Dylan, says how the weather is and what cars he worked with, because his family runs an automobile garage. He lives in an isolated town located in Wales. Dylan essentially talks about his experiences that day, and it gets interesting when he and his sister try to steal a valuable painting for money. The plot was good, as even though Dylan wanted to take the masterpiece, he still had doubts about the ethics of doing so.TV - Original Drama Serial (with Paul Abbott, Martin Allen, Ken Blakeson, Tom Elliott, Barry Hill, Stephen Mallatratt, Julian Roach, Adele Rose, Patrea Smallacombe, John Stevenson, Peter Whalley, Mark Wadlow and Phil Woods)
