But that’s just my take on it. 🙃 The evolution from clinical killing machine to doting husband carrying a torch for the one and only⋆ I personally really liked the premise of this story, and I thought it had a promising beginning. I liked both characters and I especially felt like the detail put into Kiara’s trauma and the slow process of her healing was handled well. I've been in the mood to read a mafia romance and I've heard great things about this series so I gave it a chance and the (side) characters were quite interesting. <3 The Falcone Brothers ✧ Man I just love this family (except maybe Savio. . .he got on my nerves in this one). I love the way the brothers are so loyal to each other that you know nothing could ever tear them apart. Even if at times they slightly wanted to maim each other ;)

Also, it was a good change to get a heroine outside of Mafia world who is not raised to be a "Trophy wife" some might say Kiara is weak and fragile but in a way she was. she was so scared of everything and would always cower whenever Remo gives her attention but i don't know. i did not NOT like her. i thought she was fine and im a momma bear so obviously with her history, all i wanted to do was protect her. i like her coming out of her shell by the end tho. love it when she wasn't scared of Remo anymore. This played a huge part why I gave it a high rating. I love romance in my books more than anything, but I was so invested in this world, in the other characters, that I wanted to read more of them and was willing to put aside my frustration of the romance for that reason.

Grown ass men can’t look him in the eye? He’s unbeatable in the cage?
