Actually, when I went into this book based on the plot synopsis, I thought this book was totally going to be about something completely different than it was. I thought this was going to be a psychological thriller/serial killer murder mystery. I was completely convinced that somebody in the family was a serial killer, grandma was complicit, and that’s why there were babies buried in the garden. This book had me completely hoodwinked. I didn’t get what I was expecting, but I got something a whole lot more in return.

a b Andreeva, Nellie (December 10, 2020). "Julia Roberts To Star In & EP 'The Last Thing He Told Me' Apple Limited Series From Hello Sunshine". Deadline Hollywood . Retrieved April 6, 2021. I also love how the book highlights the complexity of mother/daughter relationships. I’m a self-described mom’s girl; so I enjoy reading about other mother/daughter relationships that are different from my own experience. While the relationships in this book are fraught with secrets and deceit, they were nonetheless powerful in both their dynamics and how it all came around in the end. Now, as far as I know, birds can't read, but I'm not Snow White. And so, rather than heed the obvious warning from my avian brethren, I snapped a picture for social media, wrote a quippy caption, and after making sure the bird didn't poop in my wine, I read it anyway.

I read this is a couple of hours and have no doubt that if you like your thrillers with an emotional element to them you will devour this just as easily as I did! It will also be appreciated by those who like their thrillers to explore deeper topics. This is the first book I have read by Linda Green and I found the concept to be intriguing. It's a heartbreaking story, but also a book about finding the strength to confront the past and move on. I found the book to be a bit hard to read now and then, I had some trouble to truly enjoy the whole story. The youngest daughter Maisie grated on my nerves and she felt much younger in her ways than her years. However, I did love Ruby, Nicole's oldest daughter. She has to deal with a lot of difficult stuff and I thought of all the characters, was she the one I liked the best. I liked the book and I will definitely read more by Linda Green. David Morse as Nicholas Bell, Owen's former father-in-law and Bailey's grandfather who is a lawyer to a mafia organization known as the Campano family The Last Thing He Told Me is a mystery/domestic suspense about a man living a lie and his wife and daughter who struggle to discover who he really is She thought she knew her husband pretty well, but he was hiding more than a few secrets, and she will need her uncooperative step daughter to help her unravel the clues if she is going to figure out exactly what Owen would want her to do.

A tale of love, loss and sacrifice with the cleverest twist. Poignant and intriguing, unusual and lovely. I genuinely didn't want to put it down * Milly Johnson on After I've Gone * The last thing she told me este o poveste trista, care te lasa cu un nod in gat, o poveste asa cum nu ma asteptam. Dark, intriguing and heart-breaking. First book I've read by this author but certainly won't be the last' In Sausalito, successful woodturner Hannah Hall is married to Owen Michaels, who works at a software startup called The Shop. Hannah is happily married, but struggles to connect with her teenage stepdaughter, Bailey. When The Shop is raided by the FBI for fraud, Owen disappears, but he has a note sent to Hannah with the words "PROTECT HER". Owen also leaves a note for Bailey along with a bag of money. Hannah wants to believe that Owen was ignorant of the fraud, but their reporter friend Jules believes it unlikely, because he was unsurprised when she warned him that the raid was going to happen. Hannah feels that their house is being watched. A US Marshal warns Hannah that Owen is not who she thought he was. An epilogue fills you in on what transpires, necessary or it would end without any resolution, and it was touching, but maybe just a little TOO easy? 🎁

Hannah *my middle name is drama* *whatever is my surname* is one of the most bland character I have ever read about and reading the entire book from her POV, please save me. Also, can we all agree that titled chapters (with the exception of dates/character names) are extremely juvenile? Soon a US Marshall from Texas, Grady, appears at her door, offering to find a way to protect Hannah and Bailey, that is to put them in the Witness Protection Program. Hannah doesn’t think this is what she wants for herself or Bailey. They would have to completely change their lives, their interests, the people that they let into their lives. Hannah doesn’t want this for Bailey, she thinks she can find another way for them to live. Dave worked on adapting the book with Josh Singer (an Oscar winner for “Spotlight”), with Garner and Reese Witherspoon’s company the other producers. Running seven episodes, the show doesn’t overstay its welcome, exactly, but nor do its revelations feel particularly distinctive once they finally arrive, given the popularity of the “But do you really know your husband?” genre.
