I requested this item as I was sure that my 8-year-old granddaughter would really enjoy all the crafting involved as she spends lots of her spare time making and designing things. When we unboxed this design studio off the bat, we loved how easy it was to assemble the design studio.

Little E definitely has a love of unicorns. She was invited to review the Style 4 Ever DIY Unicorn and unleash her creative side. Little E loves unicorns so I knew this creative set would be a hit. She has never used transfers before so I needed to help her with decorating her unicorn. She didn’t want to go overboard on her decorating but less is more. Transfers were placed on the front of the unicorn as well as his face.

The other clever feature about all the model sheets is how on the side kids can give their model a name and list the colours of clothes, makeup or hair. We love how even after you use up all the model sheets, you can still use the studio with plan paper as we all know, so often with kids toys once all the resources are used up the kids loose interest but we found this wasn’t the case with this fashion design studio.It states on the box that the product is suitable for 6-year-olds plus and obviously not suitable for children under the age of 3 due to the small parts included, especially the gems. I would think that children up to about 10 or 11 would get enjoyment from this product. It states that you should wash your hands after use, but I am not exactly sure why.

It comes with two different types of model sheets, one has the model already coloured in and the other comes with the model blank still needing to be coloured in.To emboss your paper, you must open the embossing plate of your choice and place a small piece of paper inside it, then close it. You then position the embossing plate in the direction indicated by the arrow in the embossing machine. Hold the machine with one hand on the top and crank the handle from right to left with your other hand. Once the plate is completely out of the embossing machine, open it and hopefully, you have some beautifully embossed paper. Once shown how to do this, my granddaughter could do this on her own.
