There are some assorted other +1 gathers that drop off specific nodes. While these do not seem to have a weekly limit, they are quite rare. Additional Perception may help find more of these. So far from quests we can gain 3 knowledge points for gathering professions each week, 6 ones for alchemy, enchanting, engineering and 9 ones for rest of crafting professions. Not much academic content here, but readers follow the young dragon masters as they're learning to do research in the library. A bit about geography and history, and how to read subtle emotional cues from both friends and dragons. Engineering likely has a much larger number of Knowledge Points available here because the profession had so many fewer items in the main Dragon Isles. Masters do not have quests -- but if you talk to them, you can get a whopping +10 Knowledge Points and +50 Artisan's Mettle just for speaking with them!
