However, it does have an Away Mode. Rather than switching the heating off completely while you’re out, this feature allows you to set a minimum temperature at which you want your home to remain at while away. If the temperature plunges below this threshold, the heating will spring to life – handy, if you're concerned about frozen pipes when you’re not at home.

Control heating from anywhere with the Wiser Home app. Access smart features, Insights, and energy reports. Do more with your energy. Understand how to use it with real-time breakdowns that measures your spend, room by room. Find a Wiser Approved installer in your area from our network of fully-trained independent professionals. Both Vaillant and Worcester use load compensation making the combined TRV and smart control set up incredibly efficient The TRV adapter is attached to the valve, and the M30 adapter and chrome ring nut (provided in the box) are used to screw the Wiser radiator thermostat in place. The most common thermostatic valves (including Drayton, Honeywell, Pegler, Myson and Siemens) have an M30 x 1.5mm connection. In this case, the M30 TRV adapter and a chrome ring nut should be used to install your Wiser thermostat. require a combined programmer and thermostat with an ‘advanced’ energy saving feature. Namely: weather compensation, load compensation or smart controls that combine automation and optimisation features. (Or you can fit a flue gas recovery unit.) New installations of a heat only or system boiler:

The Heat Hub is a rectangular box with two buttons. One button activates the set-up process, while the other starts the whole system heating. LEDs above the buttons glow green when these options are active. The Heat Hub should be screwed to the wall next to your boiler. The square smart thermostat has a two-inch screen that shows the current temperature of the room it’s in, as well as the desired temperature. It also displays the relative humidity and battery level, and features a flame icon to indicate if the heating is switched on. Working in the same way as the likes of Honeywell’s Evohome and Tado’s smart thermostat, a module –or Heat Hub – connects to your boiler or heat pump, with smart radiator thermostats replacing any existing TRVs (thermostatic radiator valves) on your radiators, allowing you to control each radiator individually via the Wiser app. There are even additional add-ons that ensure you can also control your underfloor heating, whether water or electric-based, and electric towel rails remotely too. I had a power failure and when Wiser powered up again I couldn’t see any measured temperature in the app and the room/radiator thermostats were unresponsive. Does it mean I have to recommission the system? The centre LED will signal when the batteries need to be replaced. (as well as being view able in the app in settings - devices)When Room Thermostats and Radiators Thermostats are grouped in one room/zone you will see only one room in the Wiser Home app.

Smart thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs) can be individually programmed to control the temperatures on a room by room basis. This improves efficiencies but they must work with a compatible heating control. We guide you on the products available from third-party manufacturers, such as Nest, Tado and Danfoss, and boiler branded models from Vaillant and Worcester Bosch. We show you which are compatible with which heating controls and whether they are suitable for a new or existing boiler/heating control. Third party smart TRVs - we review prices and compatibilityA 1-channel smart thermostat system suitable for combi boilers. Control the room thermostat from anywhere via the Wiser app. The Drayton Wiser system lets you set a schedule for each thermostat, indicating a desired temperature for each room in your home at different times of the day. For example, you can set the bathroom to warm up first thing in the morning and last thing at night, if you don’t use it during the day. As already mentioned, you can override a set schedule at any time by manually twisting the top of the radiator thermostat (turning the heating on in that room for 30 minutes) or from the app, where you can choose for the heating to remain on for between 30 minutes and three hours. A more efficient feature of the Nest and Honeywell Evohome is that they can reduce how much gas the boiler uses – this is call load compensation. However both the boiler and control must speak the same ‘language’, called Opentherm. For compatible boilers and smart controls read our Guide to Opentherm compatible controls and boilers. Wireless TRVs

I also, have the exact same issue, even down to the same model of valve. I'm currently working with a Wiser tech but he doesn't seem to know what else to try at the moment. Around 80% of homes will have a standard wallplate which makes installation really simple. A standard wallplate looks like this… Other than that I may bite the bullet and get 4 more Wiser TRVs , leaving just the bathrooms uncontrolled.

A thermostatic radiator valve allows you to set a radiator at a different temperature, so you can heat your home only where required. This can help reduce your home's energy consumption. Setting it up and adding to my app etc was easy indeed! i think once the TRV issue is solved i will be delighted with it.
