Other key features include Quantum Dot Colour, HDR10+ support, IMAX Enhanced licensing and an audiovisual boost from Dolby Vision and Atmos technologies. Hisense TV 2022 U8HQ There are added smarts in Chromecast support and built-in Alexa. Although there’s none of the new advanced gaming features, the 65U8QFTUK marks itself out as an excellent set for gamers with older consoles. I recorded latency at 1080p/60Hz at 14.1ms, and you can feel the smoothness in the inputs for a game, such as Project Cars 3, which requires precise responses. Many have praised Hisense's recent displays for their modern design philosophy, and that will likely continue with the U8G: the legs that extend out fairly far out to the sides and despite keeping the TV incredibly sturdy, this is definitely meant to be the centerpiece. Buyers who sit their televisions on top of furniture like dressers may have to put their space management skills to the test.

The red of Deadpool’s costume in Deadpool looks vivid in the opening scene, without a hint of blueish tinting under the overcast lighting. The burning lab fight later in the film shows very bright flames and strong shadow detail, thanks to the TV’s contrast.BBC Sounds and UEFA TV have been added, while the likes of Apple TV, Disney Plus, Spotify and Tidal remain unsupported. Just because we’ve all got used to Hisense products being very aggressively priced relative to a) their specification and b) their most obvious rivals, that doesn’t make it any less notable. This cookie is a performance cookie used for internal Bazaarvoice web analytics, to be correlated to the same user for interactions within a particular client domain. BBC’s Planet Earth II looks excellent on the U8G. Bright subjects stand out as very bright, and shadows appear dark while still showing detail. Colors are vibrant and saturated, looking vivid but natural. The blues of water and greens of leaves all look full and colorful. Fine textures like fur and bark are easy to see in all lighting conditions.

If you are looking for an LED LCD TV for dim room critical movie viewing the Hisense U8QF is not the TV for you and you will probably need to search out a higher-priced LCD model or consider an OLED. It is not an enthusiasts TV and there are better options if you can spend a little more.Dolby Atmos offers a big step forward in immersive sound. With a more immersive sound, you become enveloped in the action. Just pair with Dolby Atmos compatible media and prepare for room-filling sound. Even better, the Hisense 55U8GQTUK has a 2.1.2 multi-channel speaker system to do it justice. We may need to comply with the lawful interception and/or data retention requirements of local law enforcement agencies from time to time. We may restrict access to any part of the Smart Services and the Device or terminate your access to the Smart Services, at any time in our sole discretion if required by law or by the relevant authorities or regulatory agencies to do so. Promising pointers towards the 65U8HQ’s quality come from its carriage of both the IMAX Enhanced endorsement and a Filmmaker mode. These mean that IMAX and the Ultra HD Forum have both deemed the set worthy of receiving their respective endorsements and modes, with Filmmaker Mode also hopefully offering a shortcut for movie enthusiasts looking for a big screen home cinema TV that can deliver accurate pictures on the cheap.

I discounted the Samsung because they only offer 1 years discount and then the LG because in the description it had severe ghosting issues. Neither of them were new and only offered shop warranty of 3 months. The 65U8QF has a few flaws, and that will affect anyone after a set for more critical viewing. Best to watch on this set during the day than at night. It’s a 144Hz panel, which – in theory, at least – ought to be good news for PC gamers. And half of its four HDMI inputs are rated to the 2.1 standard with 4K/144Hz, AMD FreeSync Premium, ALLM and VRR capability. One of them is eARC-enabled, too.Which leads me to the one egregious aspect of the A7G’s design. The stand is just too big. If you have an area (or whatever furniture you’re using) big enough to accommodate both the A7G and a soundbar – and you will want to partner this TV with a soundbar – then it’s fine. If you don’t, the stand causes some unnecessary faffing about to make space. The Hisense keeps edges nice and stable, even when there’s considerable depth of field to an image, and this lets it keep proper control of even quite tight and/or complex patterns. It’s stability to on-screen motion, too – even if you watch some televised sport, where on-screen movement is rapid, unpredictable, and quite often in opposition to camera movement, the 65U7KQTUK guards against juddering or smearing very effectively. Or, at least, it does if the sport you’re watching is being streamed in 4K. Motion was decent on the U8QF with no noticeable induced judder with 24fps material when Ultra Smooth Motion was switched off and applying pulldown. We also noted some obvious motion trailing behind objects and other artefacts with some fast-moving material. When using the Ultra Smooth Motion settings you see soap opera effect from the interpolation straight away and, as you apply higher settings, image artefactssuch as false edges, trailing edges and image break up around fast-moving objects become much more noticeable. There are custom controls for Blur and Judder which you can experiment with for sports or other video content with fast movement, but for film and drama, we recommend switching it to off.
