Description

I wish more was discussed about the pyschological protection of children watching unsuitable an harmful media or tv content, not just porn, but as a society this is largely ignored. It contains advice to help you navigate modern life; good sense on home, food, drink, fashion, health, friends, family, finances and more. Some interesting bits about her father and her upbringing but everything else was just a bit obvious. I've always been a fan of her beauty writing, when I saw this book on the library app I had a quick read, I found the tone somewhat patronising really wasn't sure who the audience would be as didn't see anything very enlightening!

The Friends and Relationships chapter was interesting because if you follow Sali you might know bits of her personal life so I'm sure some of the advice is based on personal experience. For nudes, I like something satin or matte in a brownie-pink, like Chanel Rouge Allure in 196, Vieve’s ‘Deity’ or a beautiful nude I created myself using Code8’s fantastic bespoke service, which I often give to friends for their birthdays.Had it leaned more into the personal stories and their relevance to the topics this could have been so much better. To access your ebook(s) after purchasing, you can download the free Glose app or read instantly on your browser by logging into Glose. The content could have been so easily contained in a short pamphlet - Wear sunscreen, don't be a slave to fashion and this is how you cook pasta.

Maybe if you are very interested in Sali Hughes the media personality you will like this book (much like I enjoyed Whisky in a Teacup, mainly because of its appeal as Reese Witherspoon merch). Got sick of competing with people wanting to take it out of the library, had to keep taking it back and waiting for it to be available again. This eBook can be accessed through the free Dymocks eReader app, ( iOS, Android, Windows), or downloaded via Adobe Digital Editions (and other .Women and men of Sali's age know all (or at least most of this stuff), and young men and women simply don't seek advice from a book of this nature. They felt like serious manuals from a person who knew more about the thing they were sharing than you did.

I must have bought at least 20 M·A·C Lipliners in ‘Subculture’ in my time – there’s one in every bag and drawer. There's very little cohesion, jumping from tip to tip, serious to frivolous and would leave you relying on the index to ever find something again. Her no nonsense advice in her writings in that paper have been expanded in this book to cover all matter of life essentials. I can relate fully to all this delicious wisdom apart from having wet hair (I think its sexy at any time or place!I think if you're a fan of Sali Hughes than it makes sense to read as it's her chatting away and giving you advice. I do walk a lot, and that's important for my head and my body, but I'm not an exerciser and I’m not very engaged with wellness! That's why, when I created my skincare line Sali Hughes x Revolution, I wanted to give them something straightforward: here are the ingredients you need in your skincare, and here is what to use and when. I thought the extract in the Guardian was pretty risible - just a stream of consciousness about random things, most of which are pretty blooming obvious.
