Joop Homme and JPG le Male, which I bought on the same day, kind of blurred my fragrance journey which would actually started in the following year, 2013. They should have called it Joop Homme Evolution maybe instead of Joop Homme Perfume because it is not the same scent in higher concentration. Joop! WOW!is quite a versatile fragrance that can be worn in autumn/winter/spring. It’s a bit too woody/spicy for full-on summer wear. Leans more towards smart/casual evening wear. I am detecting a wonderfully blended, ooey-gooey fruity patchouli mix, in an extremely similar vein to Angel. It has the slightest hint of cherry sweetness, while sitting right in a sweet spot between inoffensive and strikingly delicious. It also has a slight astringent accord, feels like something you could take a swig of when poorly (which is ironic since my journey with Joop Homme started when I had the nastiest cold!) Joop! Homme Wildis an autumn/winter/spring fragrance that should be reserved for evening wear. This is just the type of scent to wear for an all-nighter when you want to hit the bars and clubs with no idea where the night will take you.

The iconic pink fragrance seems to be an artifact from a bygone era — a luxury in the eyes of our parents' generation. As divisive as it is enduring, this fragrance could easily be considered the Paco Rabanne 1 Million of the 90s. However, its legacy is a mixed bag of sensations and sentiments. I believe this is still the best fragrance to use while wearing a pink shirt. In Spring and cooler Summer. Not in the Tropics for sure. It might poise a beach. And for certain not on an airplane. With this absolute which reminds very firmly of the Luna Rossa extreme, Coty has brought a very beautiful and well composed participant on the market. He is already from the 2019 what passed me by completely. The poor durability can not be understood, He performs around 5-6 hours very strong and is still perceived a little more than a skin scent afterwards. The spiciness at first spray it keeps until the end. This pepper is reminiscent of the Luna, perhaps also the Bang by Marc Jacobs, which can also be found at Coty.

Seems to be universally liked, does not have any off putting or polarizing notes, and not to heavy like old school Joop which was like syrup. Been asked if this is Invictus, Wanted, A new Coolwater etc...You can wear this and not fill a room or choke anybody out, but I am light on the trigger on purpose with all my fragrances. Stays as a nice skin scent at night if sprayed before work, so it has some staying power. The longevity of Joop! Homme Sportis a surprising 6+ hours. After that, it hovers close to the skin. Although the sillage and projection are not enormous, this fragrance will undoubtedly get you noticed for all the right reasons. Upon dry-down, rich, almost balsamic sandalwood provides comforting support but thankfully never overpowers the sweet plum. Settles to a manly sweet fruit/sharp citrus combo. I have yet to find a woman that does not love this one on me. First sniff from the bottle may be traumatic, but once they smell it on my skin, they change their minds.

It reminds me of my bottle of Montblanc Individuel, but the Joop! juice is deeper, has more of a spicy underbelly and lasts longer. Plus, it’s great to have this in addition to my bottle of Joop! Homme Absolute, a scent I really love. In its current formulation It's one third 80s after-shave cologne, two thirds cheap bar grenadine. The first part being the most palatable. This is a warm-season fragrance that is an edgy choice for spring and summer. Its bright personality is best suited for smart/casual daywear. Also makes a discreet office fragrance. This is a fresh daytime spring/summer/autumn fragrance that is suitable for most occasions. Think, post-gym, running errands, shopping, lunches. It is also office safe.

But... sigh... despite being an EDP, performance is abysmal. If only it shared some of its granddaddy's DNA for staying power. Nope, you'll have to exercise your trigger finger and hit the spray button heaps to get any traction, at least in my experience. Thirty years have passed since the launch of the original JOOP! Homme in 1989, the fragrance that represents a very brave move in the perfume industry because it was the first ever pink fragrance for men. JOOP! Homme was conceived as unconventional and free, without fear of breaking the rules. Today, thousands of bottles of the legendary fragrance are still being sold worldwide. The dry down is when I started to really "like" this scent. Plummy sandalwood....and remainder of that original Joop DNA that is toned down. Where's the "ice"...???....well....not here...IMO. No matter. Well hello, what do we have here? I was indulging in a bit of a fragrance orgy at the local mall, spritzing all the stuff I hadn't whiffed yet, when I gave this one a whirl.

The opening is impressive, with bittersweet orange, sour rhubarb and a touch of spice from Pimento peppers. A floral heart unveils powdery violet, earthy geranium and forest-fresh cypress.
