Across a jam-packed season of 37 episodes, the Doctor is joined by faithful companions Susan (Carole Ann Ford), Ian (William Russell), Barbara (Jacqueline Hill), Vicki (Maureen O’Brien) and Steven (Peter Purves). Most notably, Coming Soon trailer for at-the-time forthcoming DVD releases of serials have been moved to the disc for the preceding story. He crawls back to the room he appeared in, and sacrifices himself just as the configuration of the castle resets, rematerializing a copy of himself exactly as he originally teleported in. For instance, season 18 also included K9 and Company, having aired in the gap between seasons 18 and 19, and season 19 included Time Crash. Through covid lockdowns, the sets were coming out very rapidly, but I think because manufacturing, processing and marketing time as hugely slowed down, as I say I just seriously believe the business strategy is now out of date, and in need of revision.
