Series refers to the seventh range of vehicles released in two series of both blind bags (known as Series 23 and Series 24) and with Motorized cargo cars (known as Series 3 and Series 4) throughout 2021. This is the first Advent Calendar not to have new Advent variants of Thomas or James as well as the first to randomise the placement of the exclusives.

The artwork of Percy on the box erroneously has a white hole in the center of his bufferbeam instead of his coupling hook. Advent Thomas features Thomas wearing snow goggles with a polar bear and penguins sliding down a mountain on snowboards drinking hot chocolate. Advent Diesel features Diesel as a room interior with a Christmas tree, Santa Claus, presents, a fireplace, a dog, a plate of cookies, and a reindeer in the window. Advent Edward features Edward with a child's drawing of an outdoor Christmas scene, with a family and their Christmas tree and snow flakes falling.It includes 24 MINIS from the 2016 series, six of which are exclusive to the Christmas theme, to be opened on each day of Advent. Advent Harold features Santa riding his sleigh with his reindeer and Harold wearing a Christmas hat.

It contains 24 MINIS, six of which exclusive to the Advent Calendar theme, to be opened on each day of Advent. Advent Stephen features Stephen with a clear transparent body with Christmas lights being strung all around including a strip over his face by garden gnomes. Unlike previous series, each vehicle is sold in labelled bags with a clear window instead of blind bags. Advent Chrome Thomas features Thomas with golden bells strung along his side tanks with red bows, an additional red bow on his roof and evergreen branches with pearls poking out between the bows.Advent Gordon features Gordon with Christmas carolers and his number 4 on a snowflake on his cab roof.

Series refers to the eighth series of vehicles released in two series of blind bags (known as Series 25 and Series 26) throughout 2022.Days 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 12, 14, 18 and 22 each correspond with the number of the engine received on that day. Advent Chrome James features James with green ribbon with golden jingle bells strung along his sides with holly on his roof. Advent Chrome Percy features Percy with various Christmas baubles on his sides and a red bow on his roof with evergreen branches sticking out. Advent Toby features Toby with a red knitted winter hat with strings, and holly strung along under his roof sides.
