Another reason I gave 3 rather than 4 stars is the ridiculous amount of roles on government and important organisations Cade is supposed to have. idk i kinda felt she was very pushy when it came to izzy and over stepped boundries a lot like with making her tell her about the letter that instant in that scene or dropping the b-mb in the sibling group chat, knowing full well that the brothers would start harrassing izzy's phone.now before reading this book, idk why but with the enemies to lovers trope i kinda expected izzy to be like someone working for cade who was supposed to be undercover spying on him. I really liked this one Cade has noticed Izzy since he first met her but always fought his urges until he couldn’t anymore. When she isn't writing, she's spending the days with Doc G, Liv and Gray Gray, and their wild golden retriever. It seemed as though the author just threw in a bunch of tropes to cover a lot of bases without actually delving into them and developing them. Notorious Mafia enforcer and right hand of the Cosa Nostra, Maximo DiMarco has always looked out for me.
