This baseline is very common in mature works of fiction and is taken in a new way in BL and omegaverse pieces of fiction. Immediately afterwards, you are met with Dojun and Heesoo and how their relationship is progressing, in-secret to the rest of the world, and Dojun is an absolutely stone-faced character, so we see intro into his desires through his thoughts and actions, and him bending from his lavish life to meet heesoo in his small apartment-- because he loves Heesoo and makes that compromise because he's learning new things, including how to love again, with Heesoo. Hye-sung says he had spent all his money to attend the party he is at, looking all nice and handsome so he could find a rich and pretty Omega to restart his life. Kyungsoo is so different to the life Chowon has lead before it, and Chowon mostly comes off as ambivalent because this is a Beta, while Kyungsoo still tries and tries. Either way, he’ll get no help from Hye-sung, who’s busy with school—and keeping his marriage to Dojin a secret from his classmates!But Kyungsoo has no idea that the man he’s seeing is Dojin’s older brother’s abusive ex-partner, Chowon! I thought the mc was a little funny and was rather independent and stood up for himself pretty well. I hoped for a cute would they won’t they with lots of sass and instead I get a ton of rape and generally unlikeable characters.I really wanted some of the warmth and sweetness of the cover art, and this volume gave me none of that. He dropped out of high school during the last year and wandered from one job to another until he was twenty years old by the time he met Dojin. They don't communicate like the other pairings do, if any at all, they seem to simply talk around each other and never solve that issue until a whole 74 chapters into the comic. At first I was gonna mark this as dubious consent, but besties there’s literally multiple scenes of assault 💀 Am I surprised? It is generally decided by inheritance that someone becomes an Omega and they need to suppress their heat cycles by taking medicine.

But there’s legit assault here because even Hye-sung is BAWLING HIS EYES OUT two times after Dojin assaults him. The next day Dojin thought he will never see Hye-sung again after walking out from him that morning. Seriously, I've only read a few manhwas and this is mostly my starting days, but I've never seen such wholesome ones (speaking the same thing with omegaverse, honestly) Another great art style with a crappy storyline. Dojin is ambivalent and selfish, where he forces Hye-sung to keep a baby conceived on the night he became an omega and the only sex these two seem to ever have is dubious at best, and non-con over half the time ('secretly' wanting it is a common trope, yes, and one omegaverse seems to often ride on, but it gets tiring every time, especially when at least 1/3rd of this comic is sex scenes alone. I should mention in the final arc with Hye-sung and Dojin, we finally get something present in the last two couples by way of Hye-sung's backstory, but it is too brief again like that wedding dress scene and ends rather abruptly and unsatisfyingly with Hye-sung telling his mother to leave his life for good and continuing on with Dojin always, when the precedent has been set about family, with Dojin's his parents, love with Dojun and Heesoo, and Chowon with change.

He appears genuinely shocked to learn that he is actually an Omega himself, believing otherwise since his test results when he was younger stated he was an Alpha.
