Even though I was a little disappointed because of my expectations I have to say that it is a very pleasant scent. It starts off with a very smart mandarin note which peppers off into the seaweed, giving it that immediate "beach" vibe to it, just beautiful. Korean Beauty, or K-Beauty, has taken the skincare and beauty world by storm with its innovative and comprehensive approach to achieving radiant and youthful skin. Yet, because it's made by Bvlgari with quality ingredients, the smell is presented in high definition and you can smell the original source. To clarify that for me it is a fragrance more citrus than Marine(I would say aquatic because there's nothing that remember salt or breeze at all).

The orange and mandarin play out on the top notes together with lavender and floral notes - all against a base of green: a slightly salty-creamy, damp, moist greenness. The cedar and woodsy notes incorporate fresh wood, slightly bitter and green accords; the last noticeable note is the clary sage, which adds a herbaceous and light leathery touch, soft but noticeable. It really does smell like the deep ocean (provided we could take a sniff underwater) clean and almost warm smelling in the drydown. Usually, I don't care for assigning particular seasons to a scent but Bvulgari Aqva is the epitome of 'summer at the seaside'. It is purely amazing and I have plenty of niche fragrances with a similar set of accords/notes that are not even close to the perfection that this is.

I love this understated complexity and that's why this is my pick of all the marine/aquatic scents I've tried so far.Atlantique performs way better (About 12 hours plus),but this one is very good as well (9-10 hours). It's definitely made me worry about using in cold weather, not versatile as long as i thought it would be. Having said that I was on my way to run some errands and went ahead and sprayed it on me and I was very impressed with the scent it truly is aquatic, citrus, marine, woody but is blended very well together.

In that sense, it is to me pretty much unisex and suitable for more informal situation (although I've worn it multiple time to the office and no one really got offended :D).An aquatic aromatic, it plummets to the most profound, mysterious depths of the sea, revealing the freedom and sense of discovery that lie beneath it waves. The name, content and form of the bottle are in perfect synergy, presenting a kind of unique and novel quality. I can see / smell the resemblance to Oud Minerale, but it's missing the salty sting from Oud Minerale which is what makes Tom Ford's fragrance unique. Calone definitely has an eggish note, but it's also associated with the humid breeze on a seaweed-infested shore (which I heavily associate it with too).

Bvlgari Aqva (BA) is a “beach” fragrance that starts out with mandarin orange, water/sea notes and moves on to a beautiful salty seaweed vibe that takes you straight to the beach.
