Apple’s Spatial Audio is another headline feature, and there’s even an all-new Adaptive Transparency mode, which is highly effective. Pressure and touch-sensitive controls add another layer of usability, with a simple swipe of the earbuds stem now adjusting volume, while the buds’ battery life has been boosted to six hours of listening with ANC engaging. For those that own an iPhone, iPad or MacBook, the brilliant AirPods Pro 2 are the wireless earbuds to buy. based on changes in suppliers or other extenuating circumstances. Please refer to the actual product in all The weight of a single earbud was measured in OPPO Laboratory and may vary depending on the measurement method. writing this review after 1.3 year of usage (I had to change the ear-tip in the photo), To be clear I had never used TWS before this, so take my review accordingly...

With ANC on you’re looking at roughly four and a half hours of in-ear battery life, which is below average, but despite this, the FreeBuds Pro 2 remain a great-sounding choice with plenty of well-implemented features.

The best wireless earbuds to buy in 2023

Despite being significantly cheaper than Sony’s flagship WF-1000XM5, the WF-C700N offer a lot of the same functionality. Crucially, they support Adaptive Sound Control via the Sony Headphones Connect app, which lets you manually adjust the active noise cancellation settings or have the buds adjust it automatically depending on where you are and what you’re doing. Battery life: Earbuds will always have a stated battery life, as will the case used to charge them. Between 15 and 20 hours of total listening time is around average, though your mileage will vary depending on the volume at which you play your audio. Having advanced features such as ANC active will also drain your battery faster. Coming to the buds, they sport a familiar design, with the head opting for a semi-in-ear fit and a long stem underneath. The outer part of the stem has a long vertical stripe which is actually a touch-sensitive surface (more on that later). Unlike most earbuds of this kind, the Oppo Enco Free has actual replaceable tips, which can be chosen based on the sort of a fit the user prefers. Ultra-dynamic speakers installed in OPPO Enco Free true wireless headphones are supplied by two suppliers.

Coming to battery-life, Good enough for a TWS in this price range,In my case, buds lasted 5-6 hours and the case lasted 3-4 days on full charge which takes 1 hour. please note, I consider myself as mild-user. Touch controls are employed strategically to maximise functionality – adjusting volume, for instance, is achieved by sliding a finger up or down either earbud rather than using double or triple taps. Rounding out an impressive list of features are effective wear detection and active noise cancellation. The latter, in particular, is very good for the price and puts a significant dent in external sound.

Please refer to the actual product for all criteria. Such features make the Buds2 Pro our number-one choice if you’re already invested in the Galaxy ecosystem but if you don’t fall into that category, you’ll find better value elsewhere on this list.

There's no active noise cancellation, but there is a form of AI-powered noise cancellation for taking calls – which helps to ensure that calls sound more crisp than usual. The design inherently brings poor noise isolation too. Even at the highest volume levels, we were able to hear activities around us. This becomes even more evident when using the Enco Free outdoors or during a commute. It’s nowhere as bad as the Realme Buds Air, but far from the best. If your primary use is going to happen indoors, then it shouldn’t be an issue. The earphones are IPX4 dust and water resistant, but the charging case is not. Avoid using the earphones and charging case during strenuous exercise to prevent damage from perspiration. As far as control goes, the Enco X are rather an odd proposition. For instance, there’s no voice control – which is a feature any number of rivals offer as a matter of course. There are touch controls on each earbud, and they prove receptive and responsive - but functionality is limited to ‘volume up/down’, ‘skip forwards/answer or end call’ and cycling through the available levels of active noise-cancelling (‘off/on/maximum/transparency’).

Talking about features, It has game-mode, which reduces delay in audio, very useful while watching movies/ playing games, which costs more than 1 hours of battery life. The Sony WF-1000XM4 Truly Wireless have a customizable sound profile and a great noise isolation performance. They have a recessed treble range compared to the next-generation Sony WF-1000XM5 Truly Wireless. Their noise isolation isn't as impressive as the next-gen, either. In terms of getting audio information on board in the first place, the Enco X use the newfangled Bluetooth 5.2 standard. Codec support runs to SBC, AAC and the extremely niche LHDC. LHDC is good news for owners of some Oppo smartphones, though, while the rest of us can relax in the knowledge that Bluetooth 5.2 is more than capable of dealing with our Hi-Res Audio files from the likes of Tidal Masters. Support for Bluetooth Low Latency is also included, so synchronicity between audio and video should be guaranteed. Earbud Functions on the Bluetooth® interface of their phone to customize the earphones. Android 6.0+ users To facilitate noise-cancelling and calls, each earbud has three integrated mics plus wind-detection technology on board. And in practice, call quality at either end of the conversation proves perfectly adequate.
