When individuals discover the strength of the mind, they gain greater control and authority over their lives. The Silva Method adds confidence to all that individuals do and enables them to achieve their goals with passion and enthusiasm. The results were spectacular. Not only were people receiving all of the benefits they had sought when they first came to the course, they were benefiting in ways they had not expected. They were correcting problems that they had not even considered correcting by using the Silva Method techniques. Vishen explains that intuition is not magic. It’s just an internal voice that comes from somewhere which we can’t really explain yet with scientific language. The results confirm the hypothesis that the stable anxiety level of the participants on finishing the course and at the next stage, will be significantly less than the stable anxiety level at the beginning of the same. Both “state anxiety” and “trait anxiety” levels were improved significantly. Previous researchers felt that trait anxiety levels could not be altered significantly, but the results from this study indicated that trait anxiety levels were significantly reduced following completion of the Silva Method Basic Lecture Series. Follow-up studies showed that improvement continues the most when participants continue to practice.

The method arouses an individual's natural healing ability, allowing them to forget the negative thoughts and move towards a healthier and positive lifestyle. Achieving goals The Silva Mind Control Method was written sometime in the 70s, so parts of this book are a bit dated, just be aware. But it did give me some better tools for learning how to meditate that I thought were more useful than in some of the other books I've read on how to focus your mind and get into alpha, delta and theta states. There were things to practice and a plan on how to get there. For me, that was the the item that helped me the most. In a nutshell, The Silva Ultramind System is a 4-week program from Mindvalley that uses meditation/visualization style techniques to improve your mind’s ability. But what I will say is this level of sheer observation and focus did still benefit my mind and create better control.

Principles of the Silva method

Because what we all really want to know is whether this works before we spend our hard-earned cash on it, right? In general, I also felt less stressed in my daily life. I felt like I was coping better with pressure and less affected by things that used to wind me up. Therefore, using the method, an individual can improve their memory, creativity, concentration, and intuition using the Silva method. The Desire, Believe and Expect (DBE) thought process based on the placebo effect allows individuals to develop a deep desire for a goal and belief that one can achieve the set goal. Following a desire and belief, there must be an expectation of the goal to be attained. Some studies have reported support for the existence of ESP, but they didn’t find anything to explain its mechanisms. And other studies (like this one cited in the Harvard Gazette) claim to have found no evidence whatsoever. At the same time, I wasn’t sure what to make of concepts like extrasensory perception or energy healing, which do feature in this program. (I’ll critique this in more detail later in the review, based on my personal experiences of it in the course). You get a lot of material for your money.
