We thought we’d give the Scottish national drink a go with flavoured BBQ powder and came up with this game changing rub! This simple Irn Bru glaze recipe started as part of another of our recipes, the Slow-Cooked Irn Bru Ham, and it was too good not to share the Irn Bru glaze recipe separately so it can be used on other things too! A variety of chillis build the heat waves all over your mouth to make sure the heat hit is the hero! Often a key ingredient when cooking in the slow cooker to help thicken the recipe so you don't end up with a soup. We cooked the chicken for around 30 minutes due to the size of the drumsticks, brushing the glaze over again halfway through as it thickened with cooking.

Whisky sauce, haggis, porridge, neeps and tatties and a deep-fried Mars Bar are some 'traditional' Scottish delights you will certainly have come across. This combination of flavours creates a taste that is both refreshing and invigorating, making it the perfect ingredient to add to a variety of dishes, including chicken. We like to use Seville Orange Marmalade, and there are often some wonderful options for marmalade’s from MacKays with added Scottish Whisky too.

This simple Irn Bru glaze recipe started as part of another of our recipes, the Slow-Cooked Irn Bru Ham , and it was too good not to share the Irn Bru glaze recipe separately so it can be used on other things too! With other variants in the lab, were on a mission to give you an experience unrivalled, a taste of goodness; journey into the new world. If you can't handle the heat and don't like your BBQ hot and spicy, there is a sweeter version of the delicious meat coating, described as: "full fat, no nonsense".This gives ribs and chicken an insane colour and balance with honey powder, a light coating of chipotle powder and bam you are eating sweet honey chipotle Irn Bru flavoured wings, ribs and chicken thighs aaaand insane festive hams! They even have a super hot version of the rub, described as a "face melting powder which is not for fannies". Whisky sauce, haggis, porridge, neeps and tatties and a deep fried Mars Bar are some 'traditional' Scottish delights you will certainly have come across. After everyone went crazy for their cola BBQ rub, the meat experts came up with this delicious Irn Bru flavour perfect for wings, ribs and chicken thighs. This bright orange beverage is often referred to as “Scotland’s other national drink” and has a unique, fruity flavour that sets it apart from other fizzy drinks.

Our sauces are an ideal accompaniment and core ingredient in delivering emerging street food trends at home.I bought the high protein handbook 6 and it has been a great slow cooker recipe book that the whole family has enjoyed.

This vibrant hue has become synonymous with the brand, and Irn Bru is now widely recognized as one of the most recognizable soft drinks in the world. From the UK to Australia, people are discovering the unique taste of Irn Bru and are falling in love with this fizzy favourite. Cooking has always been a consuming passion and especially grilling, soul food and wood fired BBQ in all its glory. These cookies help provide information on metrics the number of visitors, bounce rate, traffic source, etc. In fact, Irn Bru is so popular in Scotland that it is often considered to be the country's unofficial national drink. For the purposes of the recipe we made enough to cover a medium sized oven tray of chicken drumsticks, but you could easily halve the recipe if you don’t need quite so much, and adjust the cooking time to suit whatever meat you’re using. Don't get too caught up about the sugar in this recipe either, there is the equivalent of 1/5 of a can per serving, not really worth getting all upset about. It's not really any sweeter than a recipe that would feature honey as one of the prominent ingredients like a honey chilli chicken (for example). After our Cola BBQ rub went crazy, we thought we’d give the Scottish national drink a go with flavoured BBQ powder and came up with this game changing rub!
