Fender has announced that as of March 20 2020 they have dropped support for Fender FUSE software, meaning for computer support for the Mustang I-V series amplifiers. The Mustang also brings a useful chromatic tuner, which is something a great companion for your practice sessions as you wouldn’t need to play around external devices to keep your intonation in check.

It comes with 20 watts of solid state power, which is easily enough for home use and even mic’d gigs.Furthermore, the user interface on the software allows you to alter the various amp controls on your PC. Differences being, it has more power (50w solid-state dwarfs the Fender Mustang’s 20-watt output), it’s transistor powered instead of digital, and it has a much better 12-inch speaker.

It’s important for an amp to have all the features you desire, and it’s very nice that there’s such a range of options for amp models, effects and more on such a small, affordable amp.The name of the game is “modeling amp,” and technology that brings so much value to this compact loud-box. You won’t have many effects to play with and, in all honesty, you might not like the original presets and voices.

This could be confusing or even overwhelming for a beginner, and maybe even a bit too much for a more experienced player.
