The machine was heavy, and we couldn’t lift the box on our own. It’s quite plain looking but we liked that you could customise the beer pump with a selection of badges.

It can also make a similar noise when it is pressurising and when you are draughting a beer. The kegs for this machine are 2 litres - which is around 3.5 pints - so you don't need to be throwing a huge party to justify firing it up. It was also quite difficult to pour a decent beer from this one, with a lot of froth in the finished pint. So what many Blade owners did was swap the keg line of the bad keg with a keg line of a previous keg they had that was perfect. The Blade isn’t as large as the keg in a bar or home keg, with an independent fridge to hold a 50L keg. The Blade system can handle a wide range of beer kegs, including Heineken, Morreti, Orchard Thieves, Puntigamer, Tiger, Amstel, Sol and many more, so you can switch up your brews to your heart’s desire. Any beer in the keg will stay fresh for 30 days after your first pour, so there's plenty of time to work through a keg if you're going at it alone.
