All of this is powered by a single Cioks DC7. I'm using the Cioks 8800 Parallel Adapter Flex with a Cioks 1050 Flex Cable Type 1 to get to the milliamps needed. Powering up, it can get to about 70% load on the milliamps, so it's perfectly safe with that. The storage capacity you get with the RC 505 MK2 & the RC 600 looper is identical too! Both have 99 memories + can store single loops of up to 1.5 hours in length. The build of the RC 600 is worlds away from that of the RC 505 MK2. The RC 600 is made of all-metal, while the RC 505 MK2 makes do with plastic. Most likely because the RC 600 (being a foot-based looper) will take more of beating.

The control interface appears somewhat simplified, which is good news for that feeble brain, with assorted knobs and buttons dotted around the two main landmarks: a small monochrome LCD screen on the left and, most strikingly, a multicoloured circular light panel in the centre. This serves as a visual metronome, with 16 beat indicators around the edge and a slightly disconcerting resemblance to HAL 9000 in 2001: A Space Odyssey. Let’s hope this computer’s a little less buggy. Although something as beastly as the RC-600 is awesome for live use, it has huge potential as a practice tool. The rhythm patterns included with the pedal help you get the most out of this possibility, with 200 patterns available right out of the box. Not only are there 200 distinct patterns, each has four variations and you can play them on any of 16 different drum kits. It also allows you to add intros, outros and fills. Although the onboard rhythms are not as good as having a live drummer, they sound great and are awesome for practice. They’re even good enough for use in some live situations. Live use: some pedals are easier to use in live performances than others. You probably don’t want to need to bend down to adjust your pedals in a performance. The RC 300 is over 10 years old! Therefore, looping tech has come on a long way since. So as you can imagine, the effects on the RC 600 are of FAR better quality than what you got with the RC 300. With the RC 300 you get just 3 hours of total recording time. Not a lot when compared to the 13 hours you get with the RC 600!!No Global settings for FX (yes, I know, I still can't believe it). AKA, you will have to either program them every time, or to copy paste a previous memory slot. This looper allows you to capture multiple mics and instruments with best-in-class sound quality, and sports nine freely assignable footswitches, allowing you to take full command of your output. Built-In FX Number of footswitches: the number of footswitches plays a big role in how easy a looper is to use and how many different things you can do with it To turn it on, press MENU, press knob 1 to select INPUT, then use knobs 3 and 4 to switch between Line and Inst. The RC-1 is the simplest and cheapest loop station pedal. It was designed as a basic looper to compete against the extremely popular Ditto Looper by TC Electronic.

The best feature of the RC-1, in my opinion, is the indicator ring. This gives you a great visual indication of the length of your loop and what the looper is currently doing. The RC-600 also increases the I/O capability by offering two stereo inputs, two mic inputs, and three stereo outputs. The screen changes color to let you know what mode it is in. Here are the different screen colors used and what they mean:

In use

The Automatic mode will begin recording as soon as you start playing. The Count-in mode gives you a bar of rhythm set at a tempo of your choice (using a tap tempo button) before it starts recording.
