What is up with that Meg!? I normally don't read Historical Romances, but I really liked the short snippets of this story we got in Forever Princess and I thought that I should give it a go. I was not disappointed. Just because Meg Cabot is primarily known as a YA author and the "author" of this book is Mia Thermopolis (the main character of Cabot's YA Princess Diaries series), does not mean that this is a YA book. It's not. It's an adult romance.

I loved this book so much gave me real Classic and Renessance vibes to it!! It was a book about a Princess who falls for a Prince named Hugo and they fall in love but than tragedy strikes them as well as a bunch of other things too. I sort of hope there's no more entries but at the same time I don't really want the series to end on this note. If you are totally left-wing, you will love this book-if you are very strongly right-wing, you may hate it. Hopefully, you are somewhere in the middle and will find you enjoy the messages you will receive from this novel. Helen Thermopolis: Mia's mother. She has a career as an artist and spends most of her time in her studio. Finnula is kind, generous, witty, and stubborn. I really liked her relationship with her siblings and the villagers.There are a lot of political undertones throughout the book regarding covid, mask mandates and gun control that are exhausting to read. Reading about Princess Mia should make the reader laugh out loud and escape but instead this book ended up resembling a news report. Mia lived most of her life in Greenwich Village and uses a talent for writing to chronicle her life in personal diaries.
