These taps need to be permanently installed, and as such are are different from the hot water dispensers we've tested, which are much cheaper and simply need to be plugged in. How regularly you descale will depend on how often you use them and how hard the water supply is where you live. Many manufacturers recommend descaling around once every three months, but we’d advise referring to the instruction manual for your product, where detailed information will be given. Depending on how often you use the hot water dispenser and the hardness of the water supply in your area, you have to descale your instant hot water dispenser regularly. KEEPS WARM ALL DAY: Thanks to the Insulated coated stainless steel casing your water will stay warm all day...even when unplugged! Finally, rinse your HotCup water dispenser several times with clean water. You can now use the hot water dispenser as normal.

A hot water dispenser does actually boil water, but we have found that by the time it's dispensed into the cup it's no longer at boiling point. Find out here whether a hot water dispenser is the best option for you, and which ones are worth buying. Open the lid and empty any remaining solution into the sink. Rinse your HotCup water dispenser several times by filling it with clean water and emptying it into the sink. Some hot water dispensers have a variable water setting, which means you can alter the amount of water that’s dispensed, but generally they dispense between 150ml (equivalent to a cup or small mug) and 350ml (a large mug). This allows you to change the amount of water which is dispensed - handy if you want to use several different sizes of mug. All the hot water dispensers we tested have fixed water tanks and need to be filled in the same way that you would with a kettle – either at the tap, or by filling up the tank with a jug.

Discard the water in the cup. Repeat steps 11 and 12 until the water level is at the MIN mark again.

Great Convenience】 Featuring 24-hour timer and re-boil functions, this electric catering urn saves more time for yourself while bringing great convenience. What’s more, hot water can be drawn from any direction thanks to its 360 degrees rotating base. Personally I pour the descaling product into the empty device, add the recommended amount of boiling water I leave this solution for the time stated, usually about 10 minutes and then add more water, up to the minimum mark and then dispense the water as normal. Otherwise the descaling solution is not strong enough to remove the limescale Fill your water dispenser to the MAX fill level and place an empty cup on the drip tray. Press the start button and wait for the water to be dispensed into the cup. EASY TO RE-FILL: You can keep an eye on the water levels via an indicator light, and the Perma Therm can easily be re-filled via a lift-up lid Some hot water dispensers can only dispense a fixed volume of water, so if you choose a model with this feature, then you need to make sure the amount of hot water will be enough to fill up your favourite mug. Stop/cancel button

The water tank can't be removed separately from the dispenser, like on a coffee machine, but the water tank and dispenser can be removed from the base of the appliance (like a kettle).

Hot water dispensers are only cheaper and more efficient if you want to boil a single mug of water, and you have a kettle with a minimum fill volume of more than 250ml. In those cases, the kettle will take longer to boil and will cost you more money. If you are using vinegar, make up a solution of 1 cup vinegar to 1 cup of water. If you are using citric acid, mix 30g of the citric acid with 500ml of water.

A hot water dispenser can boil and dispense a single mugful of water at a time. But while some will consistently give you the right amount of water at the right temperature, others spit water everywhere and dispense a less predictable amount. LARGE 3.5L CAPACITY- one of the largest hot water dispensers in the market. Suitable to make 12 cups without re-boiling. Also great to fill saucepans for cooking.Designed for Safety】 In the event that the water pot runs dry, the auto-cut off function will be activated to ensure your safety. Additionally, the food grade 304 stainless steel interior allows you to use it without worry. You can use this safe electric hot pot kettle at night because of the night light and visible water level gauge. INSTANT HOT WATER: Instant hot water on tap all day at a fraction of the running costs and the wattage of a kettle To read more about where limescale comes from, see How to descale a kettle. What are Insinkerator and Quooker? The best kettles allow you to boil just one cup too, but many don't - and even those that do still require you to measure it out individually each time you boil.
