Avviene un evoluzione incredibile del suo personaggio, più forte, deciso e consapevole, nulla a che vedere con l’immagine precedente di lei. Con la lettura del secondo volume mi sono resa conto che più passavano le pagine più mi affezionavo tantissimo ai personaggi e non volevo per nessuna ragione al mondo staccarmi dal libro. Ho amato da impazzire le scene d’azioni. Erano descritte tutte in una maniera così accattivante che mi sentivo di essere lì con loro. Ad un certo punto della storia si inizia anche a dare molto più spazio al personaggio di Aaron Warner. Ed è proprio in quel preciso istante che ho iniziato a morire. Nel primo abbiamo l’introduzione di quel che succede, la presentazione dei personaggi principali e ci facciamo un’idea su quel che Juliette ha dovuto subire fino a quel momento.

Anyway, like any good love interest he's strong and tall and warm and has the most beautiful blue eyes and is gentle and "understands" her and *swoon* (I'm guessing that's the general reaction to that description?). Of course there's more to his story and Juliette's heart is being torn apart over whether she can trust him or not and yeah, never heard that one before. (I'm being mean. I'm sorry. I just really didn't like him or his effect on the people around him.) Fossero tutti così i distopici, ne leggerei molti di più, ma sfortunatamente una trama ben costruita non è affatto idilliaca. Tahereh Mafi is a great author. Seriously, her writing style is amazing and her characters three-dimensional, believable people.Sooo, to be honest, I have no idea how many stars I should give this. Ignite Me probably three. Unravel me... One? Two? I really can't say and it always pains me to give less than three stars because I know how much work, how much love, how much blood, sweat and tears go into a book like that and I feel really bad but it's just MY opinion and obviously most people loved the series but I really couldn't stand that book and..... Unfortunately you cannot sell a multi book series for the premise of a love interest while forgetting everything else in the series needs attention to detail as well. Well, I guess you can, but it’s going to receive a scathing review from me. I could stand exactly two of them and the rest... let's just say it took all my willpower to get through book two.

Autres que les six livres de la série, l’auteure a écrit des novellas dont l’intrigue a lieu pendant les évènements de la série. Cependant, dans ses livres, l’auteure priorise le point de vue d’un personnage et développe plus celui-ci. Je trouve ça pertinent de lire certaines novellas, bien qu’elles ne soient pas indispensables pour suivre l’histoire, elles m’ont permis de mieux comprendre le point de vue des autres personnages des livres. If you are a fifteen year old girl you’ll like them, but as an adult, I cannot fathom how other grown women can read this and say It’s good. It’s not. It’s wildly immature. I’m not saying this because it’s a YA series, I’ve read PLENTY of YA books that absolutely captivated me. Books meant for a much younger audience even. But these? THESE? Shatter me is the worst series I have ever had the displeasure of reading. They’re immature and childish because the writing doesn’t know how to handle itself. It doesn’t understand who its audience is supposed to be. It doesn’t understand the narratives its taken on. It doesn't understand its characters or plot. But the worst thing of all is the fact that abuse is lauded as romantic in these novels. Warner may hurt Juliette and be forgiven for it time and time again all because, beneath his terrible acts, his motives are supposedly based in the fact that he loves her. Nevermind that time and time again his love is portrayed as selfish and only insofar as she benefits him. Il primo libro della saga è quello che introduce la storia. Non me l’aspettavo ma devo dire che mi ha preso dalle primissime pagine, e questo soprattutto grazie allo stile di scrittura dell’autrice. Il suo modo di raccontare l’ho trovato originale, brillante e particolare. E i capitoli corti (ci sono in tutti e tre i volumi) hanno aiutato tantissimo. Everyone gets a happy ending. (obviously not the bad guys lol). By happy ending, I don’t mean everything is perfect, but I am saying that almost everyone gets what they wanted (everyone meaning the good characters). Also, although there was one big main goal that was shared, everyone still had specific things they wanted, which eventually happened.

Love love love this book series. And although I know there are a lot of negative aspects about it and that it isn't perfect, I still think it was pretty good. probabile che non sia esperta di young adult, ma l’evoluzione del racconto è stata a dir poco lineare, senza veri colpi di scena, imprevisti, situazioni di tensione seria. Forse da uno young adult non ci si deve aspettare molta adrenalina, sono romanzi che introducono i ragazzi al fantasy e non hanno bisogno di grossi intrecci? Può essere. Come ho detto, non sono esperta. The characters are dry. Warner is the only character I cared to read, but even then I don’t see how he’s being fawned over. He calls Juliette ‘love’ and has a good sense of fashion. That’s it. If I could sum up this entire review it would be that Mafi wrote these books solely for Warner. You can feel it in the writing. She tried to make the other characters interesting, but failed. But it’s okay because everyone who reads these books are only in it for Warner anyway.
