You see, as an incurably hopeless, wish-upon-a-star daydreamer, when my first baby boy came into my life, I swiftly realised that being the parent you thought you would be, and creating family memories to treasure in the way you imagined before your baby was born [and keeping you awake all night] is a real challenge. Despite the movement, Wobbly Worm is not noisy. The children who play… that’s another story. But the giggles are a sign that Wobbly Worm is a ton of fun. Where to buy Wobbly Worm Last week we were kindly sent the Wobbly Worm game by Spin Master Toys in exchange for an honest review and I was really eager to try it out. L is only just beginning to get the concept of playing games where you take it in turns and I was looking for something that we could all play together. Aimed at children from 3+ Wobbly Worm is a great option.

The taller you make Wobbly Worm, the more of a challenge it becomes to get the ring around the head. One of the biggest benefits to the Wobbly Worm game is that children of various ages can play together. The only down side was that the worm’s head kept falling off, but L just found it funny so it didn’t ruin the game for us. All in all we really enjoyed Wobbly Worm and think it’s perfect for those sunny days in the garden that we’re all hoping will arrive some time soon.

Where to buy Wobbly Worm

Oh this looks fun and its one I haven’t seen before! It’s always great to find new games to keep the children (and parents) occupied 🙂 Each player gets three rings, each one a different size and then takes it in turn to get their hoop over the worm. Whoever gets the most of their rings over the worm is the winner (they come in three different colours so you can tell them apart).

You can adjust the difficulty of Wobbly Worm to better match the ages of the players. The more tubes you add, the greater the difficulty. As Wobbly Worm moves around, his head will sway from side to side. Reach out and try to place one of your hoops over his head. Remember, you can't move your feet! A tasty red apple fell off the tree and rolled around and around on the ground. Out popped a Worm, and now he's all Wobbly! Be the first to get all three of your hoops over Wobbly Worm's head, and you win!

The hoops themselves have a safety feature built in – they can be snapped apart and so anyone hooked “accidentally” [read: lassoed] by a hoop can break free without hurting themselves, which is fantastic news for those of us whose children love to see whether they can fit their head through a variety of spaces that they shouldn’t, much like Norman Price in Fireman Sam. The base is a sweetly themed half apple, and wobbly worm pokes up from the centre. He’s constructed by connecting tubes together so that the height can be adjusted to three different heights [good for little Hero who isn’t quite as tall as his big brothers] and when the batteries are turned on, he rotates and wobbles quite noisily [but then, everything in our house is noisy, I barely notice these days] whilst everyone tries to throw a hoop over him.Our family plays a lot of games. Honestly, family game time is a favorite in our house, and we have games of all shapes, sizes, and strategies. We love garden games and this week we’ve been sent two – both variations on games I played when I was little! The first one we opened was called Wobbly Worm and it’s so much fun. Initially the fun had to be put on hold as it required some AA batteries which seemed to be the only kind we don’t have any of, but once we got the batteries we were away. Wobbly Worm comes with 9 plastic hoops in different colours and sizes and a set of instructions. What aren’t included are batteries (you’ll need2 C batteries) but you can put the worm together and play with your stationary worm while your other half nips tot he shops to buy some batteries. Can you hoop the loopy worm? Wobbles the Worm has fallen out of the apple tree and he’s all dizzy! As Wobbles bobs and spins around, players try to get their three hoops over his head. Get rid of all your hoops first to win! Wobbly Worm is get-up-and-move-around fun for preschoolers!
