I was really kept guessing as to what exactly happened to Julia and the more secrets got revealed, the further out the net of suspicion fell. And we do know that Julia isn’t paranoid as we are privy to the killers thoughts. We don’t know who he is but we do know he is chillingly emotionless which sent shivers up and down my spine. I had my eye on a few potential suspects included the right person but my list was a little too long for me to take victory from that! But that’s a good thing, I love when the book can maintain the suspense and this one did. DAMIAN – Absolutely not the killer, despite all half-hearted efforts to make us think he might be. The most likeable main character. Apart from being ridiculously handsome (this is drilled into the reader relentlessly, and OF COURSE he and Livy kiss at some point), we never learn much more about him, except that he used to be a bit of a naughty boy, with at least one run-in with the police. I received an Advanced Readers' Edition of this book through the Goodreads First Reads giveaway. You Can Trust Me will be published in April 2015. Livy's husband and friends say it is her guilt over this that is making her obsessed with unfounded suspicions.

I liked how this story was told. The alternating narrators and perspectives kept the intensity building. The pacing was intense, and the fear was palpable. There was the perfect amount of doubt woven throughout to make you question everything while still holding out hope that this ship would settle. Many companies also push the illusion that they have an intimate relationship with us, using our first name and adopting casual or jokey language – something that writer Leigh Alexander has called the “intimacy economy”. 3. Flaunt your reputationWe use these cues to make an initial assessment, but building deeper trust with someone new tends to take time. When you haven’t got a lot of time to spare – if you’re a surgeon who needs a family to trust in your decision right now, or even a TaskRabbit “tasker” who has to convince a new customer every day that you are competent with a drill, for instance – there are a few shortcuts you can take. 1. Hug people The last twist in this intense thriller was unconvincing (to say the least!) but I still recommend it. This author knows how to stay ahead of the reader. When Alana’s best friend is found drowned in a pool, the forensic reports discover date-rape drug GHB in her blood. GHB from a drink Alana knows was meant for her. Despite the swirling rumours, the suspected group of boys seem untouchable. To investigate, Alana allows herself to be pulled into their glittering orbit. But among shifting alliances, changing alibis and buried secrets, can she pinpoint which of the boys is responsible before she becomes their next target? Livy continued to dwell and dwell, on her husband's infidelity six years ago with no trust or intimacy. However, on the other hand, she immediately trusts Julia's grieving fiancé, Damian, one of mystery; since Julia had hidden his identity from her. Eager for a big score, Leo catches in her crosshairs Michael Forrester, a self-made billionaire and philanthropist. When her charm wins him over, Leo is rewarded with an invitation to his private island off the California coastline for a night of fabulous excess. She eagerly anticipates returning with photos that can be sold to the paparazzi, jewelry that can be liquidated, and endless stories to share with Summer.

You’re special, you’re amazing, you’re cool, you’re rare and I will always and forever treasure you with every fibre of my being. I love you deeply. So when Julia is found dead in her home, Livy cannot come to terms with the news that she chose to end her own life. The Julia that Livy knew was vibrant and vivacious, a far cry from the selfish neurotic that her family seem determined to paint her as. When you need to gain your lover’s trust and want him or her to have allegiance with you, these trust me messages and quotes are all you need to use. Best quotes on trust for boyfriend or girlfriend, husband or wife, and friends even. Desperate to understand the tragedies of her past and hold her unraveling life together, Livy throws herself into the search for Kara and Julia’s killer, who she now believes is someone close to her family. But if that is true, who can she still trust? Damien, the man Julia was secretly dating? Leo, her husband’s boss and a close family friend? His son Paul, her husband’s best mate since college? Or Will, her own dear husband, who has betrayed her perhaps one time too many?In the midst of dealing with her friend's death, Livy's husband is given an assignment in Paris. Not only must she bear her grief alone but she learns that a colleague of her husband with whom he had an affair with in the past, is accompanying him on the Paris assignment. Livy can’t accept this and ends up on an increasingly dangerous quest to find out what happened. Once she starts digging, more and more secrets are unearthed. Who can Livy trust? Everyone seems to have been keeping secrets and the potential guilty party list grows longer with every incident. What made this book not the best was the way Alana was being a detective. She would go ask her suspects "did you do this" and they would just tell her. I mean haha fair enough to her, but like?? I didn't see much detective stuff going on. Ok no too harsh. She was decent. She figured it out all in the end so it was worth it. UGH! I haven't liked Marley since the beginning. I always imagined her as an annoying person. I think she has something wrong inside of her head. Maybe it runs in the family and so her and Henry are like twins. Wait are they twins? Are they in the same year? And they killed their parents too...

My love, give me a chance to treat you as you ought to be treated and earn your trust while at it. Believe me, you’d be glad you did. I love you more than you can imagine, my dearest. I found the plot to be V E R Y S L O W for at least 60% into this book. It's a lot of slow investigating going on, internal dialogues in Livy's head about what might be happening, again us hearing her thoughts around secrets and clues that are popping up. It's a very slow coming together of details and there is really not a lot of action AT ALL until around the 80% completed book. This book does not shy away for themes of consent, toxic masculinity and privilege which is rare to see and incredibly realistic. ⁣ Nothing else interested me in the book. Setting, characters, rest of the plot, was nothing different or original. My interest died when the killer was revealed!
