Best restaurants in Mykonos The prize exhibit in the Archaeological Museum in Mykonos Town is a large jar or pithos from the 7th century BC, covered with comic strip-style scenes from the fall of Troy, including the oldest known depiction of the Trojan horse. Surprisingly, the jar is fitted out with aeroplane windows, each revealing a Greek warrior ready to be wheeled into Troy and wreak havoc. The vases in the museum are equally vivid, many showing creatures out of Greek mythology; there’s also a fine marble headless Hercules, and poignant funeral reliefs.From May to September, it's the prime time to soak in those rays.
