These are not the best headphones you can buy, but they are incredibly good value. With plenty of volume and a big, meaty sound, it looks like Sennheiser has another hit on its hands. My rating would be soundwise. On the sennhiser cx-300-II I noticed the treble is now more defined and detailed, seperation between instruments are better (more airy), bass tighter, voices are more warm and natural and detailed than the old cx-300. It has al less artificial sound the new model - smoother and less fatigueing. Maybe closer to 25% improvement 8.5/10 (price taken into account) so far.

I am very disappointed with them – my cheap Samsung earphones that came with my phone sound better! Featuring a fairly run-of-the-mill earbud design, the housings feature a slight angle, allowing for an ergonomic and comfortable fit. Honestly, I could wear these all day without feeling a thing, and the sound definitely merits that consideration. Due to the perfect fit and lightweight nature of these earphones, we found we could wear them almost indefinitely. The sealed nature of them means you sometimes want to let your ear breathe every now and again, but otherwise they’re just a joy to wear. We even found we could sleep with them in, with them not pressing on our ears when resting on a pillow.But let’s be clear, these are a huge upgrade over most in-the-box earphones and they’re specifically aimed at those who like their bass – in that regard they live up to their billing.

I want to hear all the music details of Trance and Psytrance songs with a good(not heavy) bass,the RE2 as I understand has it all but the Bass,so how's those CX300 II at this stage and how can you compare them to RE2 or even Nuforce Ne-7M??? Lows The earphones themselves feel lightweight but solid, with an air of durability that reminds me of the long-reigning Sennheiser HD1 In-ear. Cabling comes in the form of a no-tangle, elliptical design, replete with an in-line mic and remote. The whole affair measures a standard 4 ft (1.2 m) and terminates in a right-angled 3.5 mm plug. Yes the new Cx-300-II are an upgrade on the older cx-300. Before the older model i found a little harsh on highs and boomier bass and the new model fills out the mids a little more too. If I had to measure it at this stage with only a few hours use - 10-15% better I suspect it would improve a bit more with use. I found with audio things take awhile to break in (burn in) some people dont believe in it but from my experience in each component and speakers i have bought things have improved with burn in.
