This is my favorite hybrid digital instant camera, outclassing the Instax Mini LiPlay. It's like an Instax Mini that enables you to edit your photos before you print them –and it also enables you to turn images from your phone into real Instax photos. Ever wanted to produce an instant print of a phone selfie, or a shot you took on a "proper camera"? Now you can! External interface: (1) Micro USB Micro-B (for charging only) / (2*) USB Type-C (for charging only) Flash can't be turned off; it's set to auto by default, what the flash button does is ensure it's used, instead of disabling it. Fuji's first foray into instant was a little later in the 1980s with cameras like the Instax 100, but only after it managed to avoid a potential lawsuit for infringing Polaroid's film patents. Those patents would expire in 1998, at which point Fuji introduced its first Instax camera. With several sizes to choose from, as well as an extensive range of compatible cameras, both from Fuji itself and smaller third party manufacturers, Instax is simply the more flexible option.

I still love it, though. It's got the most powerful flash on this list (thanks to all those batteries) and it produces the largest photos with great image quality. So if you want sheer scale with no frills, this is your best bet. Fuji has a much more extensive line-up of cameras, divided between Instax Mini, Instax Square and Instax Wide formats.
