Altus has finally announced the "Persona 5 Royal" release for the Nintendo Switch console. After years of hoping, rumours, and speculation, Nintendo fans are finally getting their wish and embarking on the adventure of the Phantom Thieves, according to IGN. Switch version to include all DLCs in the PS4 version I’ve been loving Persona 5 but now that it’s taken off the training wheels (somewhat) and let me do what I want with the deadline of clearing the first palace being the only imperative…I’m honestly feeling a bit overwhelmed with it. So many possibilities for what you can do and so many places you can go but only so much time to do it, and then there’s the palace itself which I’ve started and all I’m thinking is, am I doing it too early? Should I be doing other stuff before trying to clear it? Then there’s all the battle mechanics and fusing Personas and all that and it’s just…a lot. Following the announcement of the Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Xbox Game Pass, Windows PC, Steam, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 ports for Persona 5 Royal, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 3 Portable, the games have also been announced for Nintendo Switch release. As with the Xbox, PC and PS5 releases, Persona 5 Royal will be the first game to be ported to the Nintendo Switch on October 21, 2022. P5R will have a physical Nintendo Switch release, while P3P and P4G will be available as digital only titles. Press Release Players will be happy to know that the Nintendo Switch version of Persona 5 will also include all DLC released for the PS4 version, finally bringing other platforms in on the fun. Royal is the expanded version of the original game, with new social links, a slightly different main story and bonus content. Players will be pleased to learn that the "Persona 5" Nintendo Switch edition will also include every DLC made available for the PS4 version, finally spreading the enjoyment to more platforms, according to NME.com. Royal is an enhanced version of the original "Persona 5" game that includes extra content, new social media links, and a somewhat modified primary plot. 'Personal 5 Royal' release date for Nintendo Switch The short answer — it doesn't matter! Start where you want. The long answer? It entirely depends. We probably wouldn't recommend starting with Persona 4 Arena Ultimax or Persona 5 Strikers now, but if you have played either of those games before P5R, P4G, or P3P's release, then it doesn't matter. The Direct dropped the additional detail of Persona 5 Royal's release date, which is October 21. That's also the date Persona 5 is set to launch on Xbox Game Pass. Nintendo didn't offer a release date for Persona 4 Golden or Persona 3 Portable for Switch, however--it only said they were "coming soon" during the Direct Mini.

Gameplay is mostly split into two interconnected halves, your normal life and your life in the Metaverse, and much of the appeal of Persona 5 comes from how you balance the various activities across both halves. Most of this comes from the constant pressure you’re placed under, as the narrative mostly progresses via various ‘arcs’ where you have to steal the treasure from a character’s Palace by a looming deadline or it’s game over. Usually, you have about two in-game weeks to pull off the heist, and what you do with your time on the individual days that lead up to the deadline is entirely up to you. I shan't get this version, but I can't wait to finally be able to play Persona's 3 & 4 on Switch in a couple months! Started playing this right after release on ps4, but that was around the time I just no longer could stare at a tv playing a game, tv was always weird to me as I grew up without mostly, and Game Boy was way cooler being portable and I could find a comfortable spot and position, and play a game, and change spot and position whenever I wanted to. I could go to the toilet and take my game with me. So hopefully, when I can get it at a sale eventually, I can fully enjoy what it seems to have on offer this time. Played some SMT and Persona games already on 3ds and Vita (my favourites are the Etrian crossovers though) and the spin off on Switch TMS on Wii U, so I know I'll most likely enjoy it. And definitely not getting this version, the "need" to collect that I once had is dead. I still like some artbooks, steelbooks, figurines, statues, but unless it's something amazing or at a very decent price, I don't even WANT that stuff anymore. FES' big claim is that it added a brand new chapter to Persona 3 after beating the main story, called 'The Answer'. This additional story chapter was a lot harder than the main game and removed the Social Link aspect of the main game — it's essentially just a straight dungeon crawler. Plus it's around 30 hours long, on top of the main game's 60-70 hour playtime. Brush up on your Hebrew and the Kabbalah for your dungeon crawling! — Image: Atlus

Persona 5 Royal, released worldwide in 2020, marks the definitive version of the game, with additional content that wasn't included in the 2017 release of Persona 5. In GameSpot's Persona 5 Royal review, Michael Higham called the game "the definitive version of a modern classic" and awarded the game a rare 10 out of 10. So, for anyone who is either a total newbie to the series — or if you simply lost your way and need a hand sorting through all the franchise branches — let's reach out to the truth and dive into the Persona series on Switch. With minimal tweaking, I was able to play through the first 10 hours of the game, at a solid 40 frames per second, max graphics, with no drops, and consistent frame pacing throughout." Set in modern-day Tokyo, you play a young high school student — codenamed Joker — who has recently moved to the city after being expelled from another school. Eventually, you become the leader of the Phantom Thieves, a group of 'vigilantes' who have the power to summon Personas who can explore the Metaverse and dive into people's Palaces to change their hearts.
