If there are mice you wish were added to the database, it is possible to add them yourself through Add New Mice. Alternatively, Angle snapping, also called prediction, takes data from a mouse sensor and modifies the output to create smoother movements. For example, if you try to draw a horizontal line with your mouse, it won’t be perfect—you’ll make some subtle curves in the line, especially at higher sensitivities. Angle snapping smooths out those curves and gives you a straight line instead. This is generally bad because it means your cursor movements won’t match your hand’s movements 1:1, and angle snapping will not be useful in most games. Thankfully, almost all gaming mice have angle snapping disabled by default. In the last few years, most gaming mice have also adopted very high DPI sensors (or, more accurately: CPI), so even a budget mouse will likely perform well. Most of these sensors can handle extremely high DPI counts at up to 20,000 DPI when realistically, you'll play on a much lower sensitivity—generally under 2,000 DPI. The consensus is not to worry about that number too much. Instead, concentrate on finding a mouse with the ideal shape and weight, and obviously, one that'll match your stylish set-up. Bonus features for RGB include the ability to sync multiple devices to all share the same colour profile or the ability to sync RGB with in-game actions. The Razer Viper Ultimate is an excellent alternative if you're interested in some of these legacy features and don't mind a somewhat heavier mouse. It's also more affordable than ever before. Or, if you have larger hands and prefer an exclusively right-handed design, we suggest looking at the Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro, which shares the same internals as the Viper V2 Pro and is only marginally heavier.

By the end of the this post you’ll able to properly evaluate gaming mice that fit best for the shape of your hand and the types of games you like. The G203 Lightsync is a wired mouse—it's Lightspeed that you're looking for if you're after a wireless rodent. Instead, Lightsync denotes this mouse's compatibility with the Logitech G app and RGB lighting system, which is able to unify RGB lighting effects across compatible Logitech products. What's somewhat confusing is that non-Lightsync products are also able to integrate with said app to varying degrees. Historically the answer was always: no. The wireless connection, though convenient, was used to add extra latency to the connection compared with a wired cable, which meant input lag in games was 'a a thing'. For reference, that is also seen as a 'very bad thing' in competitive online games.Angle snapping happens when a mouse tries to predict your movements, which may make you miss your sweet headshots.

Any other setting in windows except the middle one throws away data, or creates coordinate data that doesn’t actually exist, it’s upscaling or downscaling your movement. There are a couple of settings in Windows that you need to make sure are out of the way to optimize your gaming experience. For kids who are learning shapes, this activity is a lot of fun. The mouse, throughout the story, will have differently shaped body parts. As learners go through the story, they can practice identifying these shapes. Generally, width is more important than length… 😉 So pay closer attention to the width fitting your hand size than how long the mouse is. Symmetrical mice with a higher hump placed in the middle. I include these as being distinct from Group 3 because people tend to prefer one style and dislike the other instead of liking both. Often described as a "safe" shape that fits many people. The three most common mouse grip types are palm, claw and fingertip, figure out which type you prefer and go from there. The materials used for the mouse have an underrated role in the feel of the mouse, plastic is plastic right? No!

EloShapes allows the user to compare shapes and specifications of computer mice. It hosts a database of mice that continues to add and update both upcoming and existing products. You should look for a mouse with a safe shape, with subtle curves for comfort. Not overly grooved so that the mouse forces you to hold it in a certain way for you to comfortably use it. Don’t get a mouse with overly pronounced shapes and grooves The new DeathAdder, like its predecessors, is light on buttons, having only five which is laughable compared to the 11 you'll find on the Basilisk V3. I like how chunky and accessible the side buttons are since I don’t have to awkwardly contort my thumb just to use them. I’m not too enamoured with the scroll wheel though. Sure it’s tactile with steps that are great for weapon switching in-game, but it gets very tedious to do lots of scrolling with this mouse. It helps that this mouse has great buttons, a long battery life on a single battery, as well as a great shape for a fraction of the Superlight’s price.

The downside to a vertical mouse can be its degree of accuracy. The shape moves your hand higher up the body and further away from the mouse sensor, changing the correlation between how you move your hand and the path of the cursor. Even after spending weeks with a vertical mouse, it can take an extra adjustment to line up the pointer with a small icon. That may go away over time, but it's a significant change that you should be ready for if you want to go down this road. While the level of ideal DPI for performance comes down to personal preference, most pros favour a low DPI to be able to micro adjust aim without having to move the mouse a few millimetres. Fewer options: Brands usually make few ergonomic gaming mice, leaving few choices. And you have even fewer choices if you're left-handed and want an ergonomic mouse. Prediction is when the mouses software (or Windows software) tries to predict where you’re trying to go with the mouse and straightens out your line.
