People would actually be over the moon with any effort at socialization you ever put in. You let somebody sit next to you?? Even that is cause for excitement, and at times, reward.Again, as an introvert, huge appeal to me with regards to this one. I loved this, what a brilliant message, I'm a big fan of Haig anyway so I expected a decent book but I was expecting a story not a life lesson and this book just full of messages that people should live by, love yourself the way you are, it's okay that you aren't everyone's type of person, life is sad sometimes and that's okay too, it's okay to not be okay.

It transpires that there are three types of cat: the two-legs (who used to be human); the firesides (happy, domestic cats); and the swipers (tough street cats). They don't all see eye to eye, of course. Then there's the mysterious Terror cat to contend with. Ultimately, though, To Be a Cat is a book about being comfortable in your own skin rather than someone else's fur. The story throughout was fun and exciting and something completely different. I loved the idea that cats and humans could switch bodies. I do love a good body swap film so to have it in a book with such a massive twist was great for me. I have never read a book so original. At the same time as being so creative, Haig managed to keep the story accessible to readers of all ages and I really do think that it will appeal to so many different people. I know both my older sister and my Mum would both love to read this. Do your research first, and then choose your cat from a reputable breeder, shelter, or rescue group. Things to keep in mind while looking into adoption are: Barney Willow doesn’t think life could get much worse: his parents are divorced, he hates his new school, Gavin Needle bullies him ceaselessly and head-teacher, Miss Whipmire, persecutes him. Then his dad mysteriously disappears. A strange thought comes to him: wouldn’t life be easier as a cat; fed, pampered, free from bullies and crazy teachers?

It is important to play appropriately with your pet as this will teach them how to play nicely with people. This means ensuring not to play rough and tumble games with your cat; instead, use toys to engage with them.
