Someone gave me one as a gift many years ago. It is a beautiful little thing, but I rarely use it. It is basically a planisphere in a kaleidescope. It's usefulness is limited to seeing what constellations will be up when. It is not very useful for learning the constellations, because, like any full-sky map printed on a flat surface, they get distorted near the horizon. The image is also too small to show a lot of detail, and ends up beign a bit crowded. Nevertheless, I like mine, when I happen to open the drawer it stays in, I will take it out and play with it for a while.
