For mobile photographers, the big news about the Galaxy Note 4 is its optical image stabilization system which makes it the first Samsung smartphone to offer this feature.

That made us optimistic about the future of Samsung's AMOLEDs, and it also made us very excited, because we felt that this new, improved AMOLED technology is to eventually make its way to the company's smartphones. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is a beast of a phone, combining some of the best smartphone specs around with a stunning QHD screen and a design and build that’s far higher end than last year’s model. This means the display of the Note 4 is doing a great job at delivering true-to-life colors when set to the Basic screen mode. An efficient optical image stabilization system keeps things steady in low light and when shooting video and the large high resolution screen is a pleasure to view and edit images on. That's some heavy burden to carry, even more so considering competition is at an all-time high, now that Apple finally entered the phablet game. The new functionality of the fingerprint sensor is most welcome, though we would have been happier if Samsung did some work to improve the sensor's reading capabilities. The S-Pen] didn't properly mimic the behavior of the old-school ink and paper; doing the same brush strokes at the same angles and with the same amount of pressure produced entirely different results.
