Overall, I really enjoyed working with the AD100Pro. Like every Godox product I’ve used, it’s been thoughtfully engineered and offers performance well above the price point. I think the AD100Pro’s biggest issue is the strength of the other products in the lineup. The AD200 and 200Pro offer some more power for a similar price point, while still being close enough in form factor to be comparable. The V1, which takes the same batteries and accessories, as well as the option to be used on-camera or as a master, is another great product. The flashes also provide color temperature and consistency at a steady 5600K over the entire power range. It means that there would be minimal difference in color temperature between shots and that the color temperature is daylight balanced. You can easily attach it to light stands and many light modifiers. The radio system has 5 groups and 32 channels to ensure your communication doesn’t interfere with anyone else and they won’t interfere with your lights. Bare bulb and speedlight flash heads are included to vary your quality of light. Colour temperature is a steady 5600K over the entire power range. The reason is because more powerful, I can use a lower power setting to emit the same amount of light and minimise the flash recycle time. For example if using speedlights I had to use 1/4 power to light a scene. With the AD200, I could shoot at say 1/32 and have almost unlimited flashes whereas on the speedlight I'd have to wait for the battery to recycle. This means if something unexpected happens. I don’t need to worry about the flash recycle time and I can concentrate on capturing the moment.

The AD200 Pro and the AD200 have an awful lot in common; both lights offer 200Ws of power, a transmission range of 100m, TTL and HSS capabilities, 32 channels, around 500 full-power flashes, as well as both offering a lightweight and portable flash photography option. Even with the introduction of the Godox AD300 which are much more like the Profoto B10's, I am not remotely tempted to switch. The fact they fit neatly into my camera bag. Slip into my think tank pouch so I can carry one on my hip when I am walking to take photos. It’s just perfect for a wedding photographer on the move.Taking wedding photos in the middle of a sunny day is something I avoid if at all possible. The sun is just not very flattering to your subjects. Plus trying to overpower the sun means using a lot of power. The second generation of this sleek and versatile strobe, the AD200Pro has a series of enhancements over its predecessor: Dedicated Stable Colour Temperature Mode, which improves colour consistency to within +/- 100K throughout the entire power range

I remember vividly when it was announced. I remember thinking “This looks like the perfect flash for wedding photography” In my first review I concluded that it was the best flash you never knew you needed. Since then a lot has changed. There are now quite a number of accessories available for the AD200 and Godox have built an entire ecosystem of flashes and add-ons you can buy. The AD600 Pro also offers a very powerful modeling lamp, meaning that this light can also be used as a video light alongside its flash capabilities! Offering a 38w light, as well as a 4-hour battery life from a single charge, the AD600 Pro is a great tool for both videography and flash photography. Our new price match policy guarantees you the same price as other retailers so you’re alway getting the best deal possible... In the end, I think the AD100 is really optimized for photographers looking for the most portable kit possible - weddings, headshot photographers, and those who are already significantly invested in Godox gear can all find great uses for this light. It’d also make a fantastic accent light, hair light, or tertiary light for something like a pair of AD200s. It’s truly impressive to hold the light in your hand when you realize the output and functionality that’s crammed into it. The AD100 is available from B&H. What I Liked In my experience, I've had very few misfires in the past six years and no connection issues when shooting wirelessly with the XPro transmitter. The AD200 has an option to beep when a setting is changed so when you're using multiple strobes, you know which one is adjusted and there's an audible confirmation of the change. Such is my faith in these units, the beep got annoying, as it was so unnecessary considering the adjustments were always registered without fail. B&H – B&H is a world renowned supplier of all the gear photographers, videographers, and cinematographers need and want to create their very best work. The photo above was taken just before sunset with a single Godox AD200 using the Magmod & Maggrid/Magsphere from camera left. And single AD200 behind the bride & groom with fresnel head, no modifier.
