Description

UC-E24 USB Cable: A USB cable with a type C connector for connection to the camera and a type A connector for connection to the USB device. The Z5, Z6, Z6 II, Z7, and Z7 II feature Nikon's standard 10-pin rectangular remote connection, which is used for both wired and wireless remotes: ME-W1 Wireless Microphone: A wireless Bluetooth microphone. Use the ME-W1 for off-camera recording. There is no halfway press or press and hold function. You cannot use the continuous shooting function, which requires press and hold. If the camera is connected to a smartphone or computer, connection to those devices will be terminated.

Filters may cause ghosting when the subject is framed against a bright light, or when a bright light source is in the frame. Filters can be removed if ghosting occurs. Matrix metering may not produce the desired results with filters with exposure factors (filter factors) over 1× (Y44, Y48, Y52, O56, R60, X0, X1, C-PL, ND2S, ND4, ND4S, ND8, ND8S, ND400, A2, A12, B2, B8, B12). We suggest that [ Center-weighted metering] be selected instead. See the filter documentation for details. The Nikon ML-L7 remote controller is designed for proper use with digital cameras, specifically compatible with the Nikon COOLPIX P1000. It utilizes a Bluetooth interface for wireless connection, offering convenience and flexibility during use. The remote control features a press button input type, allowing users to easily control the camera's functions remotely. SmallRig Tripod Grip for ML-L7 — not actually a remote, but a place to put your remote in a small handgrip/tripod combination that works for selfie/video type work.

ML-L7

BS-1 Accessory Shoe Cover: A cover protecting the accessory shoe when no flash unit is attached. Body caps I see people online have figured out the optical signals for the Creative Lighting System, another thing that would be fun to do with microcontrollers. Constructed by Nikon, a renowned brand in the photography industry, the ML-L7 remote controller is designed to enable users to control their COOLPIX P1000 camera from a distance. Its compatibility with the specific camera model ensures seamless integration and optimal performance.

The Z6 II and Z7 II also received firmware updates that support the ML-L7 wireless remote (see Z30/Z50/Zfc, below). I'm not sure what I need for the Z6 ii to make this work so if someone is able to let me know or give some tips/recs, that would be appreciated.Select [ Wireless remote (ML-L7) options] > [ Wireless remote connection] > [ Enable] in the camera setup menu and press J. The Z8 and Z9 feature Nikon's older 10-pin round remote connection, which is used for both wired and wireless remotes:

Select [ Wireless remote (ML-L7) options] > [ Save wireless remote controller] in the camera setup menu and press J. Nikon's more sophisticated wired remote is the MC-36A Multi-Function remote. Costly, and doesn't really provide necessary functions for the Z9 that don't already exist in the camera itself (e.g. time-lapse ability).

I am using Nikon's ML-3 receiver/transmitter on my Z9 which works fine but I would suggest this one from Vello This is just way too annoying to use for a full photo session. Kind of fun for experiments or a few images at a time. I'm using ML-L7 remotes with my Z7II and Z30 for a two-camera documentary video shoot (two angles, talking heads on green screen). I'm a one man operation and it's so convenient to use these little BT remotes to start/stop recording from a distance and without having to touch the cameras. (I don't need to adjust settings between takes - just wanting to remotely start/stop the cameras at approx. the same time. I'm able to sync the two cameras in Davinci Resolve using waveforms.) Cameras – LCD screen is heavily worn either by de-lamination or has scratches to it. Rubber grips are starting to come away from the body. The 4K 24 looks great from the Z7II and Z30 - I'm shooting in controlled studio lighting on tripods. But the idea of being able to shoot in 8K and crop in post is quite appealing for a project like this. The Z8 fits that bill. Seems trivial perhaps, but the convenience of these small BT remotes has spoiled me.
