Unlike most other smartwatches on the market, the Versa 2 isn’t looking to replace your phone – in fact, you could call it a dumbed-down version of a smartwatch. And that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The Versa 2 still records all the same fitness stats (24/7 heart rate, daily steps, all your workouts, calories burned, water intake, food intake, menstrual cycles etc) and the mobile app is the same for both watches. I’ve found all the data it’s recorded to be accurate and both the app and the watch itself presents the data in an easy to follow way and it’s quite simple to access it all.

When I was trying to decide what Fitbit to get I found myself torn between the versa 2 and the Versa 3, and I’m sure many others are to, so here’s my breakdown on why I got a Versa 2 and not a Versa 3, and what I think of the Versa 2 now I’ve had it a few days. When it comes to the design, Fibit’s mantra seems to be one of ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’. The ‘squircle’ design of the Apple Watch and the original Versa seems to have been embraced by users and Fitbit has carried that on to the Versa 2. At first glance, the new fitness watch does look strikingly similar to its predecessor, but closer inspection reveals a few small tweaks giving the Versa 2 a very stylish look indeed. The only way you can power off or reset the watch is a hidden option in the "About" area under settings. Google Assistant now supported, only for the newer watches despite previously announced to support Versa 2. At launch, the price of the Versa 2 matched that of its predecessor in the US and UK, but it’s a tad higher in Australia and, is roughly on par with the price of the Apple Watch Series 3 in most regions.

The Versa 2 may not have GPS built in but if you have your phone on you (which I always do) it uses the GPS from that anyway so having it built in isn’t necessary. Offers use of a tool like FitBit pay, but you can't use FitBit pay for things like watch faces or subscriptions. The new Versa 2 has the looks to rival any premium smartwatch (Image credit: Future) Fitbit Versa 2 price and release date Talking about the screen, that’s the one major hardware improvement worth writing home about. Unlike the LCD display on the Versa, the second-generation Fitbit smartwatch has steps into the age of the bright AMOLED touchscreen, which is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. We offer a wide range of high-quality straps in various styles and colors to choose from. For how big the smart watch market is today, the Versa 2 being now in the past generation of Fitbit's watches still holds up well with the caveat the sale price still hasn't been lowered, which definitely should be the case as new watches (and even those not from Fitbit) are out with more and better features. This is a perfect option for somebody on a budget, especially if you're an existing owner of a Fitbit watch. But because there are other options out there such as Garmin, Apple, and even Samsung you may want to do heavy research on what fits you best. Per richiamare l’assistente basta semplicemente una pressione prolungata del tasto principale e successivamente basta premere l’icona di Alexa direttamente sullo schermo.

I’m also extremely happy with the overall look of the watch. I love the colour of both the strap and the edge of the screen. Sensors: 3-axis accelerometer, optical heart rate monitor, altimeter, ambient light sensor, vibration motor, NFC, microphone, and relative SpO2 sensorAnother important feature Fitbit has added to the Versa 2 is an always-on option. By default this option is switched off and you will need to go into the watch’s settings pane to change that selection. At launch, there were no customization options for the always-on watch face and, until now, was limited to a single default analog or digital option. However, a new firmware update has now added plenty of third-party always-on faces, some of which can be customized. They're available on the companion app, although most of them are paid options, with only a few free watch faces available. The best feature on this watch is the battery. The battery lasts 6 days. I usually charge it every 3 days at 65%. This is actually great since I'm in the beginning phase of training for a marathon. I don't have to worry about the watch running out of battery on race day. This is an older model watch, so it doesn't have a GPS built in. It tethers to your phone instead. Honestly, you wouldn't notice a difference even if it was built in. Be prepared to google search how to do EVERYTHING other than how to remove the wrapping from your watch. A majority of custom watch faces are paid, and it is a pain to determine which are free or need to be bought. Some durability issues, which could be partially adverted with third-party cases/screen protectors.
