A little of this product goes a long way, as a few drops is all I need, and the generous sized bottle will last me a long while. I would recommend keeping this in a dark place, as the bottle is clear glass.

Requests for replacement due to a change of mind, shade preference, or product choice are not encouraged. I absolutely love this facial oil, I was a little unsure about using it at first having never tried oils, but it was not greasy like I expected it to be. I have dry mature skin and have used this oil twice daily for two weeks. It has given me soft supple skin with a healthy glowing complexion, my dry patches had gone and the lines around my eyes look less noticeable. However some sulfates are so good at their job, they can wash off your skin’s own natural oils that keep it moisturised and protected which can lead to dryness and irritation. Additionally, products that may contain ingredients that have shown to feed Malassezia may not neccessarily exacerbate the condition due to concentration of ingredient used in the product, this information is simply not available on the products. As Dr. Bibi Ghalaie explains, oils should not be billed as moisturisers, “as they do not sink into the dermis and bind water to skin cells like moisturising creams or ointments do.” Instead, they sit on the skin’s surface (the epidermis) and prevent water from leaking out.” In this way, they can be considered a good sealant (an ‘occlusive’) for the skin, helping to form a protective layer. Where do face oils sit in a routine? What’s more, those with nut allergies should never use oils derived from nut trees, and certain citrus oils can cause increased sun sensitivity. Mother Nature also created wax esters but for a totally different purpose. Chemically, a wax ester is a fatty acid + a fatty alcohol, one long molecule. Wax esters are on the outer surface of several plant leaves to give them environmental protection. 25-30% of human sebum is also wax esters to give uspeople environmental protection. Another super common myth surrounding mineral oil is that it is comedogenic. A 2005 study titled"Is mineral oil comedogenic?" examined this very question and guess what happened? The study concluded that" based on the animal and human data reported, along with the AAD recommendation, it would appear reasonable to conclude that mineral oil is noncomedogenic in humans."

It’s because of this occlusive nature that oils must be applied as the last step in your skin routine: slather a serum on top, and it won’t penetrate the oil, rendering it useless. However, applying a nurturing oil over the top of a good hyaluronic acid treatment, for example, will seal the deal, ensuring you get the most from your product. I struggled with this product mainly because it’s a very greasy oil and can sometimes get in your hair overnight and onto your pillow. However, for a weekly facial to combat dry skin, this is a great product and you really can notice the difference when you wake up. I used this product every night for a few weeks and all dryness disappeared and began to become a little oily, again suggesting for me this product is best left as a nice treat every once in a while. The scent of the product is good and smells just like you’re in a salon getting a high-end facial.url": "https://www.lorealparisusa.com/beauty-magazine/skin-care/sun-care-and-self-tanning/best-facial-oil-with-spf"
