It’s a very addictive read, and short enough that you can just down it in one go without feeling too bad about how late it is.

I appreciated the punchy ends to the chapters, but sometimes the short sentences back-to-back landed in a rhythm that became almost overused. When I slowly began to realise the plot wasn’t working for me, I was somewhat holding onto the characters, hoping they would carry the story on, but it felt like I was reading a story that wasn’t quite complete. She has a GIF for nearly everything, probably listens to too much K-Pop and is generally in an existential crisis of sorts (she's trying her best).

I think we get a good glimpse of the issues between Asian students – rich and poor, the competition, the pressure to succeed that is put upon them by their families. I’ve been wanting to read this book for a while now but I wasn’t sure of what I was going to find in it, and now that I’ve read your input on it I’ll definitely give it a shot.

Nancy appears to be hardworking student and a good person but underneath we see a ruthless streak about her.Nancy, Krystal, Akil, and Alexander find them terrified of their secrets coming out and the author slowly realises each of their secrets to keep you on edge through the book which leads to The Incident secret (a secret they were all involved in) finally coming to explosive ending. The story begins with Nancy presenting to her school; when Jamie fails to make it, she thinks nothing of her ex-friend’s no show.
