PLEASE NOTE: The pot life of this product is 20 minutes. This means that once parts have been mixed, the paint will start to chemically cure after this time. Ensure you remove the paint from the tin in this window. The paint will then be workable on your floor for up to 40 minutes.

A husband and wife team, they are one of only three businesses in the UK who still make pressed aluminium number plates on the original flypress. Once the base and the activator have been mixed then it initiates the chemical reaction that causes it to cure. So once the two components have been mixed you have a limited amount of time to apply it before it has hardened too much. Often it is recommended to keep stirring at different intervals throughout to give you some extra time to apply the whole mix.New concrete should be at least 2 months old and always washed with floorsaver Floor Etcher to reduce alkalinity and to remove any weak, loose cement deposits.

This can be from either not getting the work done fast enough or from not stirring the product intermittently when applying. Our Epoxy Garage Floor Paint is the number one choice for concrete floor paints in the UK as it protects and seals whilst offering an attractive, decorative, professional finish. This product is part of the Resincoat High Build Epoxy Range, heavy-duty, solvent free epoxy floor coatings, possessing exceptional abrasion and chemical resistance. We proudly manufacture all our resin products and floor paints in the UK, guaranteeing the highest quality finish. Buy in confidence from Resincoat an ISO 9001 accredited company. I would wish to have a Matt finish or low sheen but not gloss. Thank you. I look forward to your guidance. Usually the pot life is only a couple of hours, so make sure you are ready to do the work before you mix the components together. All surfaces should be clean, dry, sound and free from contaminants. Concrete - power floated, granolithic and smooth surfaces should be roughened first to provide a good "key" for the paint. This can be done mechanically by abrading or blasting, or chemically using Coo-Var Acid Etch. These processes will have the advantage in addition to preparing the surface of also removing dirt and laitance. floorsaver Epoxy Floor Paint is a two part epoxy resin supplied as a tin of resin and a tin of curing agent. Once the contents of the two tins have been mixed together, a reaction takes place which causes the product to cure. This means that one 2.5L tin can’t be used for 2 coats. It will cover 15m² with one coat, but if you have for example, 7.5m², you can’t use half the 2.5L tin for the first coat, then wait for the first coat to dry before using the other half for the second coat – it will have gone off in the tin, so select two of these if you want to apply 2 coats to an area of up to 15m². If you have any questions please let us know. On bare, reasonably clean concrete wash with floorsaver Floor Etcher. This cleans and keys the surface.

The datasheets not only give you instructions on how best to use and apply the products, but they also give crucial information about mixing two components. The three main things to look for are: the length of time recommended to mix the product; the potlife after mixing the two components; and also whether or not an induction time is needed. Mixing the product: To find Ready Mixed colours, search "ready mixed" or select the Ready Mixed 'colour chart'. To see Tinted colours select a colour chart such as RAL, BS, NCS, etc. or search for a colour/hue to see available or related options.

Give a good stir with something wide, like a wooden batten or a paint stirrer. If you use an electric paint mixer, also scrape around the sides and bottom of the tin to make sure it's all mixed in. This product should NOT be split. Taking smaller quantities from each tin, even if measured correctly, may cause issues with activating. Of all of the mistakes, this is the most difficult one to fix. If you have applied one of the components, then applying the other one over the top, or trying to mix it on the surface won’t fix it. The whole thing would have to come up and start again. So you really need to make sure you get this part right the first time! New concrete must be allowed to cure thoroughly which can take up to 3 months. Other surfaces have to be prepared and primed with the suitable primer for that substrate. Existing painted surfaces - Surfaces should be cleaned, degreased and sanded to ensure an adequate "key" is produced. Remove all loose and flaking material and treat bare areas as new substrate and prepare accordingly.
