It’s very clean and well appointed. Well equipped kitchen and large living room. Extra armchair would be useful for 6 people to be more comfortable. Outside is a small gravelled terrace area, but to be honest you are just as likely to pop up the street to one of the local cool cafes to save on your washing up!!

With over 10,000 sq. ft of flexible accommodation, the house was configured and built for family living and entertaining. Make your way next door to the lovely kitchen/diner where you'll find all the usual mod cons are provided including a gas hob and oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. I loved the increasing unreliability that our narrator demonstrated – despite her apparent objectivity, she seems to admit a certain ‘fluid’ relationship with the truth vacillating between conscious deception, possible self-deception and a disconnect with the reality around her. To what extent is she victim or villain? Witch or bewitched? We follow a woman who moves into a cottage on the estate of a formally grand Scottish manor and begins to get to know the inhabitants of the main house. But as the snow sets in and all communication with the outside world is cut off, things begin to get sinister… Note: As the postcode is used to identify the general area of the property, it may not always reflect its precise location, therefore please only use this map as a guide. This property is in a lovely location, set within open North Yorkshire countryside. Enjoy stunning views of the Cleveland Hills and the Wainstones, part of the famous Cleveland Way walk. As we learn that our nameless narrator has fled London and her previous job at a private girls’ school in mysterious circumstances, we begin to wonder what made her sixth-form class of fresh, young girls fall down “like petals from a rose”. Who was the victim of this mass fainting? The seasoned teacher grown bitter as love turned sour, or the smirking teenage girl with a “high, light silver” laugh?

There are also some good ideas in here, but sadly I feel like they didn't amount to much. The narrator is not particularly likeable, and none of the other characters is either. They are just a bit flat and a bit sad and a bit uninteresting. It took ages to get into it as the story was very slow paced. I didn't particularly like any of the characters, they were unrelatable and odd. After finishing the book I had no idea what had actually happened. It wasn't clear if the narrator was a witch or not, or if the suspected neighbor was. Was the hare a hare or a witch in disguise?Hare Metal Wall Decor | Personalised Home Wall Art | Wall Hangings | Garden Decor | House Decoration We have an unnamed narrator; a woman whose teaching career came to an end after a seemingly innocuous incident involving her A-Level students. To retreat/escape/start again, she decides to take refuge within a remote Scottish town. She rents a cottage from Grant, but also manages to ingratiate herself into the family's inner circle, becoming something akin to a friend or confidante to both Grant and his much younger, teenage sister, Cass. The family have suffered tragedies, but as our narrator spends more time there, she discovers that there are rumours and whisperings between the locals, suggestions of witches. Step outside your front door to enjoy gentle countryside walking trails through lush pastures, ancient woodlands and picturesque river paths
