this book was an emotional gymnasium and i'm still crying. i just finished this book at 5am and i'm not sure i'm going to be sleeping any time soon, but Meghan Quinn did it again. I'm speechless.

I currently reside in beautiful Colorado Springs where Like me on FB: https://www.facebook.com/meghanquinna...But then we get to Keller. The whole reason he broke Lilly's heart was his insecurities and I thought (so did Lilly) that he'd got over that at the end of book 1, but alas he got WORSE! He was so annoying for most of this. The first half of the book he was closed off to Lilly, bossing her around, keeping things from her, arguing with her etc. Royally Not Ready is a Princess Diaries type romance between a girl who would be princess and the Royal secretary charged with preparing her to take the crown. Narrated by Emma Wilder and John Hartley in duet, this story felt fully immersive with both narrators performing a variety of male and female characters. My biggest issue with the narration was that Emma Wilder only voiced female characters and I love listening to her man voice so much! But John Hartley's narration of Keller was deep and sensual and made up for it.

Lilly drove Keller nuts. I want to say in the best of ways, but she also drove me nuts. I’m not complaining that much because even when I was empathizing with Keller’s annoyance, I was laughing at it. Lilly knew just what to do to push his buttons in all the wrong and right ways. These two had insane chemistry. It kept ramping up the entire first half of the book. I couldn’t wait to see the explosion and it was everything I wanted it to be. I loved how Keller and Lilly got to know each other on a deeply emotional level and the connection they made. They were a great mix of sweet and passionate. Keller is still the brooding, protective, silent type. Even though he still has all those characteristics, you definitely see more to him in this book. In fact, I think this book gave you so much more insight into what he is thinking and why he does things. There are moments I wanted to shake him—okay, a lot of moments—and moments when I just wanted to hug him and shield him from the world. Welcome to Shh... [Smut, Heroes & HEAs], a reader group dedicated to contemporary Romance & Erotica. Also in true Meghan Quinn fashion, the book had me in stitches on multiple occasions. Lily is a hilarious character and the banter between her and Keller was nothing short of incredible. She did not make life easy for him, but in the most amazing way. Austin Lee, the Warriors’ rookie outfielder, finds himself right in the center of a blonde tornado called Molly. Her fiance died, he gave her the time and space to heal, but he always admired her from far away. Never in one million years did he believe he would be bedding the woman of his dreams and planning a future with her in the starring role as his leading lady. Meghan Quinn is an USA Today Bestselling author, adoptive mother, wife, and lover of peanut butter. She brings her readers the perfect blend of humor, heat, and heart in each of the books that she writes.

Lilly’s personality and actions are exactly what you wouldn’t expect from a royal. She is witty, sarcastic and has a habit of talking first and thinking second. When she is approached by Keller, and he advises her that she needs to come with him to Torskethorpe to assume the throne. Ever since her parents passed away, she has been feeling alone so she agrees to the trip just so she can meet the family she never knew she had. I can’t put into words how much I love this book. Ever since we were first introduced to Lilly and Keller in Royally Not Ready, I have be addicted to their romance.

That's why I find myself in the throes of wedding planning, pre-wedding classes with my broody, over-protective fiancé, and counting down the days until we can finally say I do. As the two decide to give in to their obvious physical attraction, the book got so hot. I’m not always a fan of dom storylines, but this definitely had me wishing someone would storm my castle! What I love about Quinn’s books though, is that she can take me from this aspect of a story to a hilarious moment where I’m laughing at Lilly trying to take Keller down by showing him the “moves” that one of the other bodyguards taught her. Royally Not Ready feels like a mix of The Princess Diaries, My Fair Lady and Meghan Quinn’s signature humor and spice. This enemies to lovers romance was really fun and gratifying.

Royally Not Ready is a rom com, bodyguard, royalty book with loads of laughs and very few triggers. This book does have sexually explicit scenes with some BDSM. Trigger Warnings Thankfully, Meghan Quinn keeps us smiling while the characters are dealing with the events of Royally In Trouble. I really tried to figure out the mystery before the end, but I definitely had no idea what was coming. LOL. While I liked this book, I took off a star because I needed a longer conflict resolution between Keller and Lilly. I felt like they rushed through some important healing that would be needed after the events. Lilly is an amazingly strong FMC for this book. I love her sarcastic and snarky banter with Keller the main MMC of the book. They dynamic between these characters is amazing and it really felt like you knew who each of these characters were.Keller and Lilly are attracted to one another after only a couple of days but they fight it. You have to suspend your disbelief for this story. From the tiny royal island nation (somewhere between Scandinavia and England) to the American heiress and her wet t-shirt contests to the tension between Lilly and Keller even though they are supposedly putting the country at risk. The tension is really delicious though. I wish the ending gave us readers more time with Lilly and Keller, it did feel a bit rushed but over all I finished it with content and appreciated the wild royal ride Meghan took us on throughout this book.
