As my confidence in God rose my relationships improved and I even began to play without fear and as a result perform to a higher level than I could have ever imagined – I even became “Player of the Season”! At last I knew what real peace in my life was and my whole attitude to football and people changed as God changed me on the inside. Fitness problems prevented Primus from getting much first team football at the start of the 1999–2000 season until a change of diet helped him regain stamina.

Other charitable causes he has been involved in are the Alpha course, a cinema advertisement about Christianity and the formation of a prayer group at Portsmouth.
