Always, stir the contents of the tin thoroughly, at least for a couple of minutes before applying. This ensures that colour pigments and other important ingredients of the product are well distributed and not concentrated at the bottom of the tin. An oil soaks into the surface of the wood and will wear away over time. A stain, paint or varnish is a surface sealer and over time could peel and flake, exposing bare wood underneath. Paint, stains or varnishes can be removed with a stripper such as Paint Panther Paint and Varnish Remover. Oils unfortunately can not and if you can’t wait for them to wear away naturally the you can use a pressure washer to remove much of it, care must be taken not to damage the wood however. If you keep up with regular maintenance there should be no need to retreat with the reviver, but if you do need to use it again in the future the oil will need to have worn away or you can use a pressure washer to remove the last of it. Before you begin, you will want to ensure that the pigments have been properly mixed in, so give the oil a good stir.

Bangkirai: 12 weeks exposure. 006 Bangkirai is optically suitable and a very popular choice of colour tone. For the following wood types, a weathering period is recommended. Depending on wood species, new or freshly sanded wood requires up to 12 weeks (approximate) exposure to the exterior elements before application. Drying time and ease of application: The drying time for this product is 24 hours, which is longer compared to some alternatives. However, it's easy to apply with a brush, roller, or spray, giving you options to choose your preferred method.

If you need a filler for the long gaps or areas along the top and bottom then you could have a look at the Cuprinol All Purpose Filler it is ideal for long thin gaps and has some flexibility for natural movement in the wood. Faulty Items As always, read the instructions on any product you buy and follow them. Generally, though, you can expect to apply two coats to achieve fresh and well-oiled looking results. Application and Drying Time My advice would be to leave the floor treatment free as you are putting vinyl down. As it is an internal area preservative are not really recommended or required. Its not wise to apply an oil and then cover it with any floor covering the wood does not require protection. What if straightening the boards just isn’t going to fix the issue? You might have to replace the warped boards altogether, in which case here’s a link toCan reduce the visibility of the wood grain due to the pigmented film between the timber and the surface Ipe: 6-8 weeks exposure. 006 Bangkirai is optically suitable and a very popular choice of colour tone.
