Description

Before you seriously consider the Hakko FX-951 check what I wrote about the Pace station a few posts back.

Can be used in combination with the HAKKO 490 (Discontinued) smoke cleaner or the HAKKO 494 smoke absorbing system for line-production.When the key card is inserted, the temperature settings can be changed and when the key card is removed, the temperature settings are locked. Jeez this new Haako is wwaaayyy better than I expected, I didn't realize my old iron was so weak, slow and it's tips are huge. that or I didn't have the patience to read them lol, but if you setup preset mode and program in the few temperatures that you use most then that makes the 2-button interface a lot easier to live with. The compact Hakko FX-951 digital soldering station is a professional station with a power of 75 watt. Anyway, yours is not the only complain I read (I got to read quite a few when trying to figure out why mine wasn't working), so I guess it's a gamble.

Product that complies with the regulated values of 10 substances prohibited by the european rohs directive. Not that you want to breathe solder fumes anyway, but it was motivation enough to turn on another fan to blow away the smoke.

Includes: Soldering Station with FM2028 Soldering Iron, Iron Stand and Selection of T15 Tips to get you started. Check the display after switching to the soldering iron number for the soldering iron that does not get hot. In this article I’ll cover what I upgraded to and from, then conclude with using the new tools to rebuild a prototyped circuit onto a printed circuit board (as shown in the image on the left).I think I must have bought over a dozen different T12 tips and probably more than half are still unopened. I'd get a decent soldering iron and spend the money you save on components and other test equipment. Maybe the tables turn at much higher outputs and/or maybe a T12 wattage is actually much higher than an 888 even though the rating is similar (Maybe the 888 puts a significant amount of its 65-70W into the handle/air vs the 24V T12 clones 85ish(? The Composite tip design in the FX951 ensures vastly improved thermal performance vs almost every entry level station and even many professional stations. The use of a “control card” to change settings is slightly awkward, but it is more intended for use in a factory where an engineer sets the settings and the technicians are not supposed to change it.
