Tibken, Shara. "Samsung redesigns its smartphone user interface with One UI". CNET . Retrieved 2019-02-20. Bohn, Dieter (2019-01-29). "Samsung begins US rollout of Android 9 Pie and One UI, but slowly". The Verge . Retrieved 2019-02-20. Certain regions, namely the USA, will get Samsung’s new Exynos 9825 processor instead of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 CPU. The 9825 is Samsung’s first 7nm chipset.

In 2020, a midrange variant, the Galaxy Note 10 Lite, was introduced with lesser specifications and features. After recently spending serious time with the Sony Xperia 1, with its stunning 21:9 Bravia-engineered panel, which was only let down slightly by that phone's underwhelming battery, the Note 10+ definitely had a tough act to follow and, while I would say the Sony phone is still the device I would prefer to watch 21:9 movie content on, for everything else the Note 10+ is either the Xperia 1's equal or superior. The clean One UI interface lines most navigation options on the bottom half of the Note 10 Plus screen, within thumb's reach. Everything on the device is well-laid-out. That's, sadly, not the case when extending Samsung's software beyond the phone. More-than-all-day-battery achievement is aided by Samsung's power management having been greatly refined over the years and the fact that the QuadHD+ display resolution isn't on by default – it's set to 1080p out of the box. Network: The bandwidths supported by the device may vary depending on the region or service provider.Bohn, Dieter (2019-02-19). "Samsung's One UI is the best software it's ever put on a smartphone". The Verge . Retrieved 2019-02-20. Both Note 10 and Note 10 Plus have either a Snapdragon 855 or a Exynos 9825 chipset, depending on your region, and we've tested both. Samsung didn't upgrade to the gaming-centric Snapdragon 855 Plus used in the Asus ROG Phone 2, but it did outfit the Note 10 Plus with a vapor cooling chamber designed to handle today’s 3D games and whatever comes next. But the other use could be much broader. It lets you use messaging and social media apps that don't have good PC clients, on your PC. I'm constantly getting text messages and Google Hangouts on my phone, and I keep breaking focus from the work I'm doing on my PC to look at the smaller screen. With DeX, that's fixed. Actual user memory will vary depending on the mobile phone operator and may change after software upgrades are performed. Winner? The Galaxy Note 10 Plus has a larger, higher-resolution OLED display. If you want the best of the best with respect to display tech, the Galaxy Note 10+ is the way to go, providing you don’t mind paying a premium for it! Processor (CPU):

Samsung's own AI system was much akin to Bertie Wooster — had a funny name, didn't operate properly and got into mishaps The top complaint, though, is that the phone is just so big it's hard to hold while drawing. That's part of why I'm excited by the smaller Note 10 model, which has the S Pen, but which you can also better grip with one hand. The new design is definitely better than the Galaxy S10 look. But it’s still pretty inelegant in my opinion. The newhole-punch means the system icons still reside in the top left- and right-hand corners of the display, just like every other Android-powered smartphone, which is good. But the cycloptic appearance of the Note 10+ isn’t something that could ever credibly be described as “beautiful”– something that most definitely could be said of earlier Galaxy Note models.

That means you'll get better LTE performance than on any previous generation of phone, or any iPhone. Performance will be very similar to the S10+; we're working with the same modem, the same antennas, the same software, and pretty much the same body size here. We can use Ookla's Speedtest Intelligence to point out how the S10+ compares with the Note 9 and Note 8, and you can see how adding additional levels of carrier aggregation will help speeds (note: Ookla is owned by Ziff Davis, PCMag.com's parent company). Performance is, as you can seen from the nearby boxout, top level. That combination of Exynos 9825, Mali-G76 GPU, and 12GB of RAM means that anything mobile you throw at this phone it will deal with comfortably. To me, the Note series has always been about the S Pen, and about people who want to use it: artists, doctors, journalists, and other people who write, draw, notate. Samsung made an effort this year to make the pen important to photographers, but I feel like that's really pushing it. As you’d expect from Samsung's technical leader, the Note 10+ has a very formidable specs sheet that reads more like a laptop's than a smartphone's. Powering the device is a new seven-nanometre Exynos 9825 chipset that delivers faster speeds (see benchmarks boxout) and greater power management than the impressive Exynos 9820inside the Galaxy S10 series.

The triple rear camera is equipped with a 12 MP (f/1.5-1.8) main lens, a 12 MP (f/2.1) telephoto lens, and a 16 MP (f/2.3) ultra wide lens. New camera features include 2x optical zoom, enhancements to bokeh mode, and a Live Focus mode in video capture. The front camera features a 10 MP (f/2.2) lens. Is 5G worth the price? The S9, Note 9, and S10 all take great-looking pictures in good light, and the Note 10 does, too. I'm especially impressed by how sharp the wide-angle lens is at the edges; the OnePlus 7 Pro's wide-angle lens gets really soft in those areas. Winner? The Galaxy Note 10+ is a larger phone and, for this reason, is able to carry a larger battery. The Galaxy Note 10+, therefore, is a better performer when it comes to battery life. You get an extra 1000mAh inside its cell. Samsung Galaxy Note 10 / Galaxy Note 10+ / Galaxy Note 10+ 5G PricesThe Note 10+ has a whopping 12GB of RAM, which according to Samsung lets it cache up to 12 apps. Compare that with the S10+'s 8GB, or the OnePlus and Note 9's 6GB. That said, I haven't had much of a problem finding applications being forced to reload on 6GB and 8GB phones, and even with 12GB, the Note 10+ had trouble handling those layers in Adobe Sketch.

The Note 10+ 5G has a vapor-chamber cooling system that the S10 5G doesn't have —but the LG V50 also has vapor-chamber cooling, and it still has overheating problems. I'll test the Verizon Note 10+ 5G in mid-September to see if it overheats. The time-of-flight sensor, so far, is not terribly useful. It enables an AR measuring app, but that's about it. In the future it's supposed to enable a "3D scanner" feature that scans objects and then turns them into 3D avatars you can then put into AR scenes or even make act things out via motion-capture, but that feature isn't live yet. Battery Capacity (Typical) : Typical value tested under third-party laboratory condition. Typical value is the estimated average value considering the deviation in battery capacity among the battery samples tested under IEC 61960 standard. Rated (minimum) capacity is 3400mAh for Galaxy Note10 and 4170mAh for Galaxy Note10+. Actual battery life may vary depending on network environment, usage patterns, and other factors. Schoon, Ben (November 25, 2021). "Galaxy Note is dead; Samsung reportedly ending production on Note 20, no plans for 2022 model". 9to5Google . Retrieved November 29, 2021. The Note 10+ also comes in a 5G variant, so you can even get the very latest, super rapid data connections now available in most major UK cities and set to spread throughout countries over the next few years, future-proofing the device perfectly for its lifespan.
