My experience of Accurate Recording is that it is anything but. I doubt all the blame is Humax and a large percentage is the broadcasters. But nearly every recording I made with it turned on was late starting and often cut off before the end as well. So I never use it. But I now can't use Series Link either. Humax is very aware that, for several months, some customers have been experiencing a slowdown in operation and usability issues with our PVR models.

The main frustrations for me are the incredibly slow EPG. It takes ages to populate. I had a TVonics PVR previously and that cached the EPG while turned off which the 9150 doesn't. Therefore the EPG on the TVonics was there straight away. Even my TV manages to remember the EPG when I turn it off and has it instantly visible when I need it. Of course, selecting programmes from the guide depends on the Freeview guide being correct, which it generally is. You can widen the recording window to allow for minor scheduling errors, as well as trim recordings down to cut out unnecessary extras you didn’t want. Resolving these issues has been a priority for our technical team who have been working diligently on a fix, but unfortunately, due to the complex nature of the issues, it has taken much longer than we had hoped to develop new software to sort out the PVR issues.
