The author was born in Texas but now makes her home in Tulsa Oklahoma where she lives with her husband. She met her supportive and wonderful husband while they were both in high school and they now have two kids. I enjoyed the simplicity of this story where it all starts from the hero publishing a clip of him and the heroine together. After the hero achieves what he wants by releasing the clip, I eye-rolled at the hero telling his friend to delete the original clip, as if people might not screen-record or in some way save the clip on their phone. My first book by Shantel Tessier was the Ritual and I LOVED it! I adored Ryat. I loved how protective he was of Blakely. I loved how he was so OTT J/P over her! Like no one could even LOOK at his Blakely without him freaking out! So when I saw Sabotage recommended on a Facebook group, I was expecting more of the same. The T/W section says that Colt was supposed to be OTT J/P, so I was EXCITED! I hope I didn’t offend the author since it wasn’t my intention,but the book wasn’t doing it for me.. :((

I feel like this was a lot of personal awakening for them and I didn't really feel the "connection" or "love". It wasn't totally in your face. Especially the first half for me. The second helped, but it wasn't 100% for me. Thus why I am not a writer and this author is. My heart broke and I got teary at a couple parts towards the end. But of course she doesn’t even TRY to stay angry at him and make him work for it! She just gives in! LIKE WHY!? HAVE SOME SELF RESPECT! IS THAT SO HARD TO ASK FOR!? She had always loved reading and she felt that there was no better tie to write her own novel. After she published her debut in 2013, there was no stopping her and she could not be happier.Colton and Raylee have a very explosive relationship. They pretty much know how to do one thing flipping well and do it often. They are their own worst enemy at times. The hate lust clouds their eyes. They took me on a wild rollercoaster ride. They are toxic. The line between love and hate is very thin with these two. That was the only cool thing she did, she was so up Colt’s ass that she could never stand up to him and say no. This book is 100% NOT for everyone. This book is a *very* dark romance and contains extreme trigger warnings which may be sensitive to some readers so when I say to read the trigger warnings at the beginning of the book if you are sensitive to any sort of heavy topic, I truly and deeply recommend it. I went into this book blind (without reading trigger warnings or reading what the book was about) because I love surprises and I do not have any problems reading any sort of topics but this may not be the case for everyone. As for her influences, Shantel Tessler does not have a particular book as she believes every work she read over the years has impacted her in some way.

I’ve tried to finish other works by her but nothing compares to her Lords universe.

Also, this was REALLY heavy on the degradation and humiliation kink. I read the TW and didn’t see this listed as a trigger, and I think it should have been because this level of humiliation and degradation isn’t for everyone. While I don’t mind it in small doses, this was just WAAAAAYYYY too much for me. Let’s not talk about the smut which could have been better.Don’t get me wrong,it was pleasant(the wine bottle scene mostly),but a little repetitive at times. This was muy caliente! Like woahhh make ya squirm and need a clean thong. It's starts out hot and heavy... and doesn't let you up for air until the end. Not everyone is going to understand the crazy, filthy and unhinged step sibling dynamics and that's ok. I read to escape into a world not like my own. I couldn't stop reading!! The fact that one of the tropes of this book is a jealous/possessive hero is laughable to me, i’ve seen more possessive men in a reverse harem book than this “MF” book 🧍‍♀️ Like dominoes, everything started falling down around her. Her mother happens to be down with cancer which has kept her bedridden for months. As such, at such a critical time she finds herself all alone with her troubles.

I don’t know how people could even stand Colton,like that man had a problem with the word whore and slut…WE GET IT,SHE’S YOUR SLUT… Some of the novels she read have left her laughing, others smiling while others have had her in tears. They have made her grateful for the life she had or have made her compare her own life to what she reads. I had this book on my tbr since so long but i truly wish I would've kept it there for much longer. the book have a lot of toxicity , so less of a storyline and A MAJOR degradation kink which i found a little unbearable. The humiliation was just way too much and honestly there was nothing consensual here ; it just felt like some huge ass manipulative rape to me ; fmc could legit fool herself for all she want. I have read a lot of dark romance and nothing EVER grossed me out like this one did. I hate everything about her except for when she’s on her knees begging me to use her as my own personal toy. When she began writing “Undescribable,” it was a small idea that would become a dream. He got the inspiration for the “Undescribable” series from an idea that had been marinating in her mind for a few years.
