Description

I am honestly super impressed. I loved Devney's writing. Small town romance, double pov + investigative work. Memphis moves into Quincy to start fresh, away from her life and her family that have betrayed her over and over. She finds her way to Juniper Hill. But that also leads her to Knox Eden. The man of her dreams. The man she's needed her entire life. The one who makes her feel seen, who listens to her and holds her up when she's down. Who loves her, for her. Unconditionally and unapologetically. And to top it off, he loves her son too. Just as much as her, as if he were his own. Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Memphis and Knox’s story. Memphis is a single mother to an infant when she arrives in the small Montana town to work as a housekeeper at the local hotel. She is leaving her wealthy life and family behind for a brand new start. Part of that new start is living in Knox’s loft garage apartment arranged by his sister who manages the hotel. Knox isn’t interested in sharing his space, but after a while he starts to warm up to the young mother and her son. There’s a lot of baggage they have to work through for both of them, some big secrets revealed, some sexy times, and a suspenseful moment…and they get a HEA ending.

As much as I didn’t want to see the end of this book, (despite my non stop reading in an effort to find out what was going to happen - which of course means reaching the end of the book) I’m antsy to find out what is in store for Griffin’s siblings. Along with an amazing epilogue and the link for a bonus epilogue, the ending gave us a delicious tease of an introduction for Knox and Memphis! Memphis has left the life of luxury and her overbearing family bhind in New York to make a fresh start for herself and her son Drake, where he can run around freely in the wide open spaces and have a dog. She can count on one hand the happiest to worst days of her life, arriving in Quincy, Montana, happened to be number 4 on her list as one of the worst days. She's frazzled and bone tired unable to settle Drake down who was crying up a storm in his car seat. But maybe it takes a little crazy to build a good life. If putting the past behind her requires a thousand miles and a new town, especially to ensure a better future for her son. Even if it requires setting aside the glamour of her former life and becoming a housekeeper at The Eloise Inn, living in an apartment above a garage. I don’t know who you are or what you’re doing, but I’m having a conversation with Winnie,” Skyler said, standing taller.

You know me, I adore anything cop related. This was so enjoyable and I am so impressed, that by the end of it, even if I am not 100% attracted to cowboys, I can look past that and say Griffin can country boy my as* any time. t’s there, on the fifth worst day of her life, that she meets the handsomest man she’s ever laid eyes on. Knox Eden is a beautiful, sinful dream, a chef and her temporary landlord. With his sharp, stubbled jaw and tattooed arms, he’s raw and rugged and everything she’s never had—and never will. Because after the first worst day of her life, Memphis learned a good life requires giving up on her dreams too. And a man like Knox Eden will only ever be a dream. I enjoyed Juniper Hill. I found it to be extremely heartfelt and passionate. It’s a story about healing, growth, and falling in love. It had all the juicy tropes:

don't even get me started on the fking creep named frank. i was honestly petrified every time he said "cutie" EW please don't. anyway, this was so anticlimactic. all the boring as shit build up up to literally 80% of the book, just for me to put it together before anything happens. so disappointing. You are requested not to arrive before 2.00pm and your pitch must be vacated by 12.00 noon on the day of departure. Arrivals after 8pm cannot be guaranteed entry. The sex scenes were awesome, we get a happy ending, double male and female pov. Griffin is rough, but not cringy, he actually gets pretty romantic at the end and we get some pretty exciting plot twits and high-stake scenes.
